Most welcome dr_st! Not bad since nearly all the questions I came up with were planned in short amounts of time.

Anyways congrats once again, and see you guys at the next round! :)

That wouldn’t work on you though. 8)

Hey, are you implying that I’m a spammer?! I’ll have you know the minimum post threshold for spamming is 14797! (And I’m still one below that )

Well, that didn't age well.

There’s a lot of stuff on this forum that didn’t age well, but we might’ve a new record here!

I could have sworn I've edited the first post with the season's results already 2 days ago, but I must have forgotten to save. 🤦‍♂️Anyhow, it's been taken care of now!

Look at the difference between season 142 and 143’s rewards

I would say the larger rank list is one of the reasons why the idea came around. Along with the increased amounts. Hope this encourages more participation! Of course, the obvious downside is the chance of someone cheating is higher. But surely, nobody cares that much about Tings and ranks to do that right. RIGHT??? :oops2:

Oh trust me, I really won’t! If I try harder, it’s because I feel like hosting it properly!

If I'm tempted to look up an answer normally I'll disqualify myself from the question first by making an attempt, that was if temptation gets to me I don't have any means of acting on it.

You have to be careful with this approach, because sometimes if no one answers, or if someone gives an answer that is quite close but inaccurate, the host allows people to reanswer. At that point you already know the answer but giving it would be cheating, so the temptation is really hard. :)

I guess I will have to try to come up with questions that cannot be easily looked up. That's the real challenge! :hehe:

If I try harder……does that mean you’ll ACTUALLY FINISH the trilogy after all?

Alright!

Welcome to Season 144 of The Teensies Quiz Quest!

As always, the recommendation is to check the first post of this thread for the rules, if you are new here and unsure how it goes.

We'll start with something that should be easy for old-timers and those who pay attention!

Question 1: In Rayman 1, Allegro Presto is recognized as a good level to replay for life farming via ting collection. More specifically, however, PC players would find it easier than those playing contemporary console versions (Jaguar/PSX/Saturn). Why?

I’m just gonna throw in a guess that some tings are placed in less risky areas.

Is it because there are some big Ting arrows pointing at certain moved cages and/or the "Impossible Jump", where in the other versions there are single Tings or nothing at all?

Is it just because there are more Life totems and/or Tings in the PC version?

Interesting. So, Greengoop's answer, while being generally in the correct direction is too vague to by accepted 'as is' off the bat.
The others are off the mark.

Anyone can (re)answer.

The only difference I know that would make things "less risky" for collecting Tings would be that the platforms are wider and much safer to land on. This makes more sense in areas other than the first one.

That is correct! Not for collecting tings per se, but simply completing the level without dying (otherwise - what's the point?) This is mostly evident at the end of Part 3, but there are also two platforms in Part 2 that have been extended to make the trumpet section easier and less annoying (although there is no risk in it).

The number of tings is the same or roughly the same. While it is true that there is the "4 extra lives" secret in the PC version (which is very hard to reach), extra lives are one-time use in Rayman 1 - they do not respawn once you collect them, so cannot be used for 'farming'.

Scoreboard
The Jonster - 1 point

Question 2: Which is the earliest in-game part in Rayman 2 (PC/DC), where you can hear the following tune (or portions thereof)?
