Nowhere else I can really post these here, but I've been here in Image Processing, being asked to do some random stuff like turn someone into a zombie and stuff, and this is what I'm coming up with. I REGRET NOTHING:

I'd choose a Wii over a Wii U to be able to play GameCube games. That's actually the reason I have a Wii.

There is not a PC emulator?

GameCube Compatibility is really great on Wii. Only 1 game I ever tried had sound issues. Rest of games played perfectly. Wii is just an Overclocked GameCube after all. And no, I don't mean it in a bad way at all.

You can actually install PC OS on some consoles. PS3 can run Linux I know.

So i can read backups with ps3 linux?

No, modern PS3s aren't linux compatible, only Phats that are on older firmware whose number escapes me, to start. But they won't play backups regardless, the Linux option is more for enthusiasts who like to tinker more than anything else.

No need to use CFW. PS3 does not need modding. Games from all countries work on all models.
I am proud to say that my PS3 never was and never will be modded
However my PS3 is dying slowly sadly. After 10 minutes of play, fan goes crazy and loud. I am worried for it and I hope if it ever shuts down without turning back on that it can be fixed without losing my data. I need to keep my PS3 because PS4 wont be compatible with PS3 games.

My I do love me some British humor. Unnecessary interruptions of topics are my shcitck, you see. Anyways, I'd only get a Wii if If weren't able to find previous Nintendo consoles in stores, but even then I'd still have emulators.

Precisely. Honestly though, any British or British-esque humor will do. Can't believe that some brush off British humor as garbage when it's some of the greatest on this planet, in my opinion. Also enjoy laconic Spartan humor.

True, but I believe the Wii U will sell digital copies of GC games later, if Nintendo ever goes forward with the idea.

Wii over U on account that it's basically an SNES and N64 emulator that's also backwards compatible with GameCube games, along with some shitty casual games on the side to cater to the non-gamers.

That is probably the reason why is Wii U not natively supporting GameCube discs. Buying GameCube games nowdays does not bring Nintendo a profit because only way to buy GameCube game now is used one (or new one but it had previous owner who gave game bigger price because it was unopened all the time). Nintendo probably wants to start releaseing digital versions so they can earn money. Proof that Wii U can upscale GameCube games and even play them with Classic controller is hacking the console. I don't criticise Nintendo that much for that decission because business is business after all. I am however questioning their Miiverse on 3DS that will come as update. I am really disappointed. No friend requests and messaging

The Wii U does not support GameCube discs because backwards compatibility is literally emulation, and we're two generations ahead. The hardware has probably changed enough for a significant number of GameCube games to not function correctly on it.
