Anime is for fucking nerds
Serza5 wrote:not dropping 50 bucks to play them, but using a keyboard and two small emulated DS screens seems like it'd be a bit shit.
It's no bad, Pokemon is one of those finer DS games where only minor mini-game esque features actually need the touch screen. And you certianly should be playing them, even at least for the Gen 2 remakes.

Cool beans, gave it a shot and it does work pretty okay. I played the Gen 2 remakes not too long ago actually, but my Pearl copy got lost somewhere in the pile of garage shit a couple years back.

And yet you want to play Pokemon, which is in fact an anime.
As for DS ones you want to go with Platinum over Diamond or Pearl simply because it's the remake of the two that's much better overall, or if you want a completely different main series Pokemon game then try Black or White.

To be fair, the games came first. Transformers involves films, but also a cartoons, and many toylines, and comics, and other things. The toys came first, and are the
core point of the franchise, likewise, the games are the core point of the Pokemon franchise.
I'd go for Platinum over DPPt, the main storyline is the same for the most part, but it also includes new elements, one of my favourite being Looker. You're also able to catch the other two legendaries anyways, so you're not really missing out. Do give Gen V a gander too though, it might not have the best Pokemon designs, but it's probably the best generation thus far in terms of plot and characterisation.

Hm, Master has read the pages before this too aye?

Yeah I am doing Platinum
Serza5 wrote:And yet you want to play Pokemon, which is in fact an anime.

Pokeman started out as a video game, nerd. Time to go back to the hentai hut.

I'm really digging that team skull design. Not gonna lie, though I haven't been in a huge Pokemon mood for the past year or so I am pretty hype for this game for its improvements on the series.

They seem like an interesting bunch indeed. As long as they remember to give them actual character this time unlike with Team Flare.

this just came out apparently:
http://www.pokemonuranium.com/
I never even knew this was a thing but I'm downloading it before Nintendo blasts its ass. It looks pretty tight, though I think the exclusive Pokemon have kind of a bootleggy look to them. Anyone get a chance to try it?

That's completely different, "Tales of" pretty clearly panders to the hentai crowd whereas Pokemon had to subject itself to anime to receive any attention from Japanian children. And I've browsed the Tales tags on r34 plenty times enough to confirm they captured that crowd.

I still have a GameCube so no need for the Steam version.

Couldn't agree more, I never cared much for anything Pokémon other than the games, and I'm not a huge fan of anime in general.

I can't say i've ever been one for fan poke games with their own set of Pokemon, mostly because i've never seen any which actually look nice, this game especially from what i've seen have rather eh designs. It's always been the fangames too; i've seen a good chunk of fakemon art which looks miles better.
I might try out this one though because it does look nice regardless.

I never knew Keane was such an avid tales fan to look at all the porn.

We should share our favourite ones sometime but I hafta warn ya first my taste is pretty gay.

I saw this a while back but I just gotta say now that the Uranium game people took interest in? Already taken down :
http://www.pokemonuranium.com/downloadstatement/
Granted it blew up in popularity so fast i'm amazed it lasted like- possibly not even 2 full days?

I like it much more than some of the latest Pokémon.
As for the fan game, do they plan on continuing to work on it?

Their comments suggest they are still going to work on it just that they can't have the download to the game on their site.

I don't really understand why it got taken down seeing as, as far as I know, it had no official Pokemon in. Couldn't they just change the name and a few art/sound assets?
I finally got enough gyms for 80 coins on Go, but I'm not sure what to buy

Beat 2 other gyms in a day and take the double bonus to buy a lure module, that's what I usually do.
Right now I'm at 140 coins because I want to buy a backpack expansion (200 coins)

1. I do believe they had all pokemon at least up to gen 5 in it.
2. Regardless of whether or not that fact is true they still have a lot of similar assets to pokemon that isn't just graphics or music wise; the gameplay as well is still at it's core Pokemon even if it's UI is fixed to be more computer friendly. I'm not sure how much of an overhaul it would require for Nintendo to be satisfied but as long as the core concept game wise is (main series) pokemon it's not going to get off the hook so easily.
3. Literally the only reason it got taken down is that it was popular.

Ah well, I guess that makes sense

I've thought of an evolve for my Pokemon: Cactopus evolved into... Tumblesqueed!
