Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I want to try a Kinect, even though I won't buy it. I'm more interested in the XBox 720 or whatever it will be called.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Random note. R:A&K is translated to Polish in a way which could be roughly untranslated as Raving Rabbids: Live & IN COLOR. The color stuff seems to refer to B&W TVs, which while rare are still remembered here.
...Hold on, does that mean giant blue Rabbids in 3D? I sure hope not.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
So I was fucking around in RRR1 yesterday, and I thought to myself, "You know, I should have Rayman wear sunglasses, and take some funny screenshots of him wearing them." Then I plugged my Wii into my Dazzle, started recording, and later took screenshots from my recording. Here are the results:

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I just wonder why baby globoxes have that weird...green mouth. When they open their mouths there's no tongue or teeth...or palate. Just that freaking green space! fuck you, wii graphics!
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I do wonder why Baby Globoxes do look so wierd in this game.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Maybe they're adopted.

People near London later this month may be interested in this:

So yeah, they're doing exactly what was done with that Simpsons line of vinyl figures. Would like to pop out and see this.

According to IGN, it is the worst Rabbids game up to date, even worse than RRTiT.
I'm glad I didn't chose the Xbox 360 console in the end, and went to the PlayStation 3.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I don't think the Baby Glutes (their official species name now, haha) look all that weird. There have been stranger redesigns.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I have to say that I'm a little different from the majority of hardcore Rayman fans, who hate the Rabbids completely. I don't like that their debut game being changed to a shallow party game caused a lack of Rayman for 8 years after Hoodlum Havoc, and I don't care much for the games of theirs I did play (the original RRR, TV Party, & even Rabbids Go Home, which I thought was too shallow and repetitive). But dammit, the characters themselves I love. I always watch one of the many promo shorts Ubi makes with them when I see one posted anywhere, and I find it cool that they're getting a show on Nickelodeon apparently. I just wish they were in a game I cared about.

Anyone else going to the the Eeerz thing at Forbidden Planet on Friday? I assume not, but thought I'd ask anyway as me and Stacey will most likely be going to check it out. Apparently it will be a workshop with various vinyl toy artists showing how they modify the toys to their artistic desires!
In other news the Kinect game is pants? Not shocked..

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I quite liked the original Raving Rabbids, it had something that the others didn't have, it actually still felt like a Rayman game somewhat. RR:2 however did not.Behonkiss wrote:I have to say that I'm a little different from the majority of hardcore Rayman fans, who hate the Rabbids completely. I don't hate the Rabbids, I hate the games which defiled my childhood, concept-wise, they work well though...Behonkiss wrote:I have to say that I'm a little different from the majority of hardcore Rayman fans, who hate the Rabbids completely. But it seems their games are declining in quality, which is worrisome given the large library of Party games available for motion based systems.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
In fairness there aren't really many kinect games that are all that cop in general so I can't really be shocked if I do end up playing Alive and Kicking and it turns out to be bad; I tried this sports game once on it and the body tracking was so uugh it looked like all their limbs were broken.
