Well I am yet to find a multinational company that doesn't put their own interests first.

Sorry, trolling on this subject is just too easy. No challenge for me.

Microsoft should have allowed us to choose what we want, customize the UI how we want.

I mean for crying out loud... Microsoft made a TweakUI.inf file you could install on Windows 95 (By download) and Windows 98 (On the install disc) to tweak the UI a bit to your tastes.

Windows 8 really took away freedom you had in Windows 7 from what I can tell, on customized color schemes.

I really do hope this new CEO of theirs will really make Windows 9 a major improvement.

Windows 9 should completely kill the start menu from Windows 8 and go back to regular desktop. Pretty much like Windows 7 except less security bullshit and more customization.

Are you kidding me? Sony omitted PS1/PS2 backwards compatibility for the sole purpose of making you re-buy those. They also have a policy (in their official stores) where you are forced to buy two $60 games along with the system. They won't actually repair YLOD PS3s if you ship one to them, but instead send you back a refurbished one (that will likely fail again, and, of course, doesn't have any of your data) and charge you $150, or offer you a minuscule discount on the inferior Slim models, when you can get your existing model fixed at a local repair store for around $50. Sony is a decent enough company, but there's no doubt that they're money-hungry.

They put their own interests first just as much as Microsoft does, but sometimes in different ways - for instance, nearly all Sony hardware require Sony peripherals. They've both gone back and forth on being better at it than the other.
