Maybe it is the easiest version, but it's still hard.
I know Rayman Advance is on GBA, which has a smaller screen, as well as having the field of view being reduced, whilst this also happens on the DSi version, it's not on as a large scale, but it still is smaller, which does put the player at a disadvantage.RayFan9876 wrote:http://rayman.bonusweb.cz/patches/
Regardless of what it says, it works on Windows 7. Unfortunately you might not having any music, which is only fixable if you are able to launch the game's configuration and change the sound card plugin.
Have you ever played Rayman Advance? If not, then you don't know the meaning of a small screen. Plus Rayman Advance is far closer in difficulty to the original than the DSi version, just the graphics are a little worse.Master4lyf1 wrote:I can't comment on that since I've never laid eyes on the DSi version, but I'm assuming it would be difficult because of the smaller screen.
So far, I've found it easier. Namely because a lot of the chase scenes and scrolling screen elements in levels have either been removed or heavily shortened and simplified. For example, there was no water flood at part 3 of Mr Stone's Peaks, making it from frustrating to one of the easiest maps in the game! Eraser Plains is daft though, because they removed the ink effect (so it's hard to tell when Rayman is going to die while standing on the pencils) so I can see where you're coming fromMaster4lyf1 wrote: I know Rayman Advance is on GBA, which has a smaller screen, as well as having the field of view being reduced, whilst this also happens on the DSi version, it's not on as a large scale, but it still is smaller, which does put the player at a disadvantage.
I've actually believe Advance is harder than the Original, given the need for reaction based timing.
5 in the PSX version. Good night.Electoon wrote: Also why is the continues system in Rayman so cruel? From what I've seen and read there are only 10 sets of continues in the game unless you cheat. What happens when you run out - does it just automatically take you to the game over screen when you run out of lives, thus ruining the game? Unfair!

Welcome to Rayman's World where nature and peace and everything was nice blah blah blah.Electoon wrote:Rulez wrote:

But seriously, why did they limit the amount of continues like that in the first place? It's just so frustrating!

I still didn't play that version, plus Nintendo is taking forever to decide to sell the eShop cards, who were initially predicted to be in June.stan423321 wrote:But did you play the DSi one? It is supposedly even easier.
Yes, not exactly sure why they did that. I think they wanted to make it clearer that they were meant to represent bars of music because some people weren't sure what they were and kept calling them icy bars. I wish they hadn't fiddled though, they looked better when they looked metallic and slippery.Danone wrote:I noticed the musicals bars of Band Land are black there
Rayman 1 was not rereleased on the PS2, however it is backwards compatible, so if you want to play R1 on PS2, just insert the PS1 disk into the PS2.THEdragon wrote:Wait, if Rayman 1 was released on Playstation 1 and 3, was it also released on Playstation 2? I have a PS2 and I'd really like to get the game for that. XD
