Yep and yep. Rayman Arena simply has more content, as well as its LAN/online feature.

ya know, when I was a teenager, I didn't even know the meaning of this word and was only seeing the boom boom stick Shrooblord talked about, as it is the exact same word in French, without a double "n" like in English.

The lack of LAN in the European version is one of the things I never understood.

Perhaps it is because the LAN feature didn't work correctly. I tried it in 2012 and no luck.

I downloaded Ad's files for RA and started it and half the textures seem to be missing. And I followed your advices in the concerned topic. That's strange...

EDIT: I can't even upload a screenshot because all I obtain is a white square. Seriously?

This has to be driver issues or so. I used to have same problem with Tonic Trouble on Win XP with too modern drivers.
Surprisingly, on Win 7, Tonic Trouble has some issues either way but instead of missing textures, the right side of screen is fucked up. Still not that much to make it unplayable.

I'm on W8.1 64-bit and I just updated the drivers of my Graphic card. I even restarted my laptop as I thought it was coming from there. I tried several mixes of settings while removing what Ad' talked about in the settings menu. But the game doesn't give a damn about it.

To be clear, half of the textures are missing in the screen menu, every character appears only in a simple color (Rayman is orange for example), and levels, although being completely functional, don't have a great part of them too.

It's not the physics or anything else, just that a great part of the textures is not there.

Ahhh that's why I have such trouble with the word myself - in Dutch, cannon is written as kanon and canon as canon. There's a distinct difference in the pronunciation though (which has to do with where the stress is on the word).

That sounds like it could be a buffering issue, I don't know how to go about fixing something like that at the moment.

Maybe I should also try with the CDs

Rayman M-Arena cheats:

Health Hack (cheat engine)
1. Start a battle
2. Type 5 in Cheat engine
3. Lose on LP(life-point)
4. Scan 4 in cheat engine using Next Scan
5. Repeat point 3.
6. Scan 3 in cheat engine using Next Scan
7. If needed, scan one more repeating point 5. and 6.(changing 3 to 2), if not... place these values in adress list
8. Freeze them and change to 10
Same goes with ammo - the ammount that shows up is your scan value

Hm. That's interesting. I wonder if you could get it to work consistently.

I think that was knew like a lot before, but I can't use CE, when I do alt+tab to get to cheat engine the game crashes (Only Arena do this I believe)

your Arena crashes when you Alt/Tab?

Strange: even if I can't really play Ad's version, I'm still able to get back to my desktop and mess around while the game is active

My Rayman II crashes the same way when I minimise. Quite saddening, really.
