What would be cool is if we could have the start button the way we want, too. Or offer several flavors.

Yeah, and I'll be more than happy to see Aero back as well.

@Hoodcom and Master The "Inside the Computer" was also one of my favourite themes, but my top one was "Space" in which I remember to use it a lot. I also liked a lot "Dangerous Creatures", "Science", "Jungle" and "Underwater".

Do you have Windows 95 Plus installed on the virtual machine, then?

Yeah I do. I use VMware Fusion for that. :)

I’ve installed some of the smilies used here in my forum. Go have a look here.

I think people need to know that this video is really deceiving. I found out they actually train the elephants to paint the same painting over and over, several times a day. The animals are punished if they get a brush stroke wrong. http://www.earsasia.org/why_we_help/Pag ... nting.html

Damn, this is terrible :(! Obviously, these guys do anything just for the money of the tourists (and people that don't know what happens in the backstage). Greedy bastards :x. Thank you both for sharing this, I'm going to send to more people.

Worst possible abuse, what a horrible thing!
Elephant painting should be banned.

That's shocking, I thought it was a natural talent, or at least training with out some form of abuse. (Like how you can give a dog or cat treats through training process.) This really saddens and disappoints me to see such things happen to those elephants.

Thank You for pointing this out, Gwee, it's a fact that isn't even mentioned much, apparently.

The end of XP is nigh: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows ... pport.aspx
Amazing how long it's lasted, but this is it, it seems.

It won't end worldwide. In UK, it is ending in 2015.

Only for public-sector systems, and only because they actually paid out money for extended support, I think the same goes for the Dutch: http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2 ... lic-sector

Yeah, I read over here about the extended support for the Dutch and British governments: http://exameinformatica.sapo.pt/noticia ... er-XP-vivo

Well, it was a long life for the XP. The first four years of my current machine were with the Windows XP, until I've upgraded to Windows 7.

Pretty amazing how long it did get support for, and it had been a pretty good OS, but it was easily surpassed by Vista (latest service pack) and especially by Windows 7. (Especially thanks to Windows XP mode if you really needed that.)

Though it does make me wonder, I know that there's some laptops and some desktops in some departments which run XP, bad idea to have them connected to the network, seeing as they could be pretty deadly weak spots.

I disagree about Vista. XP always was and always will be better than it. Vista should lose support already. Win 7 is awesome though and is better than both.

Then tell me why and how Windows XP is better than Vista? For any machine I had, Vista ran better.

Maybe my PC was bad for Vista then, but XP was much faster for me.

That doesn't mean Vista was garbage, though. It'd be like trying to run Windows XP on a machine meant for Windows 95 or 98. That doesn't mean XP is garbage either.
