The European 'PSOne Classics' selection is a bit of a joke at the moment; hopefully Sony will start giving it the same treatment they've been giving the American one since last E3, or the Japanese one since forever. Until then, they can go to hell. Emulation it is.

Okay, I've tracked down a brand new sealed copy of Rayman 1/2 double pack on eBay, is it really worth getting this version of R2 if I've already played the PC and PS2 ones, or is my cash better spent elsewhere?

Depends on how much you don't mind 32bit 3D graphics and how much you wanna see the differences, I suppose.

32 bits graphics are a good thing right ?

All things considered though, Rayman 2 (even though shorter than the other versions) probably is a showcase for what the PSOne is limited to/capable of.

Well, I've just ordered the double pack for about £12 and it's brand new and sealed, which is always nice. I got about £30 left, so any recommendations for a purchase?

I have a friend who wants to get Rayman 2 but doesn't know which version to get. Even though R2 is my favourite in the series, I'm not totally sure either.

My friend has a PS2, Xbox360, GBA SP, DS and a PC. Would he be better off getting Rayman Revolution, Rayman 2 (PC) or Rayman DS?
Please give me honest answers as I don't want to give him suggestions that we both may regret.

I think Revolution would be the best out of those three choices.

Definitely not Rayman DS :P

I'd say Revolution as well because it would give him a good impression of the series.

I've played the PC, DS and PS2 versions, and am soon to play the psone version, and I'd definitely recommend Revolution for a new player. Also stay away from DS unless you really need a portable version.

Make sure he never gets Rayman DS under any circumstances. I would say that Revolution would be a good introduction to the series, as it would make playing The Great Escape for the first time all the sweeter.

Unless you want Raymanian which, imo, is better than the voice acting..

On the main menu, go to "Sound" or "Options" or "Language" or something... I can't remember exactly, but it's not hard. This is our only actual source for the word "Raymanian", you know.

Wow, I wonder how I managed not to know about this... I've just set it to play in Raymanian, so much better!

I heard it years ago in some video from RZ about Rayman 4.

What video? I take it it was fan-made? They creator probably got the word "Raymanian" from Revolution anyway...
