I've been doing a 'fight' tournament lately on Rayman M on ultra hard, taking it turns with each character on different levels. I'm keeping score! First one to 20 is the Rayman M champion!

Ultra-Hards are pretty fun to play against. I remember the days that I feared their might. Then I got good. :c

There's a good few levels I can win on Ultra-Hard. Some of the maps are pretty grim though.

The best one is Lum Spring in Ghastly Trees. They're at their worst on that map. xD

In my opinion Lum Spring is far harder than Lum Fight or Capture the Fly, in ultra hard mode. The only level I really found challenging was one in the Bonus League. I think it was called Speed Rush

Oh the one where you have to constantly spam Optimization on the speed ramps while this wall of death keeps chasing you? Yeah, still haven't managed to beat that one. I got excrutiatingly close though, say, 5 meters from the finish the wall would catch me.

That's it. It took me months to complete, but in the end I succeeded. It rather felt like a hollow victory though because I was expecting a decent reward at the end, for completing the game...

*Speed Stress. ;)

But I totally agree: if you want a real tough match against the CPU, just setup as 1-Opponent in Ultra Hard difficulty of the Lum Spring mode with 5 Lums only.

I can now announce that in my mind, the ultimate Rayman M character is!....: Drum-roll please!! No? Okay...

Henchman 800!

Yep, he won my tournament being the first to hit 20 points! Shame it wasn't Razorbeard. and thank god it wasn't Tily

Excellent, I've always been fond of the Robo-Pirate footsoldiers, though I've always liked Hench 1000 more. I do wish they'd make an appearance in a main series title, I've always envisioned them as Razor's generals, given their older make and design, they'd have more experience than the 800.

I think that Henchman 1000 is one of those spin-off characters that deserved an official aparition in a canon Rayman game.

In my mind the Rayman M Henchman 800 is like the first ever Henchman made. The original design. Because the ones in Rayman 2/Revolution don't have the jetpack. You can't see the flap when they run either. I like to think of 800 & 1000 as prototypes.

It's funny out of all the games I played, Rayman only won 7. Surprised me!

How many did Tily win, as a matter of interest? :hehe:

I'll post the scores haha:

Rayman: 7
Razorbeard: 15
Teensies: 12
Globox: 12
Tily: 11
Razorwife: 18
Henchman 800: 20 WINNER
Henchman 1000: 14

'The dark side' really kicked ass in this tournament. Haha

Razorwife could've won. Now there's a character I enjoy in Rayman M but am glad about not seeing anywhere else.

I like the Hench1000, but he should have the first skin active, where he has an actual hat and not that silly paper folded thing, if he were to appear anywhere else. He looks badass as nails in that skin. Still, if he had his original skin but the hat instead of the paper thing, brilliant. I love steampunkish looks and it, naturally, works exceptionally well on robots.

Yeah Razorwife did come pretty damn close!

Henchman 1000 in his regular skin is the best IMO. I'm not a big fan of the other skins, although some of the Globox ones are pretty cool :P

If someone asked me to encapsulate Rayman M in a level, I'd say the second fight level on the beginner league. I like that level so much that I can't even remember the name of it! But that one, is Rayman M through & through. Well in my mind anyhow.
