A silver colour would look equally cool in the Grolgoth. It reminds me of something. The Japanese Grolgoth has got black stripes.

My god, you've just come up with the best idea since canned bread!

You guys are going to slap me for this, but let me tell you that's already planned in my game. ;)
I've written that part about half a year ago, haha!
And spiral, you're getting eerily close to what I imagined the Grolgoth II would've looked like and be made out of. ;D

god i want to get this game made

Blimey, and here I thought craving a battle between Grolgoths to be an isolated want, it seems it's something quite a few of us have in mind.

Guys what do you think about the limbless people featured in Rayman Origins and Legends? (Tarayzan included)
Do you think they are canon? Or just "gameplay - design needings"? I prefer to consider Rayman the only limbless creature in the Glade.

I do not consider Rayman only limbless because Rayman 1 is canon and there are clearly more of them.

Yes but most of them returned in RO and they weren't limbless anymore.

(by the way this is also why I'd like to see a Rayman 1 remake).

I'm more for the retcon idea, but given the mess, I don't really know if I really care for the issue any more.

RL has planty of limbless people though.

When did you have this idea? I first posted it in July 2008 (and apparently it was my sister's dream, not mine).

Hmm, I can't remember when I first had this idea, but I believe I've been carrying it for a few years.

In fact my question was if you consider those limbless-being canon

I consider some of them to be canon but not all of them. I still don't think Rayman is only limbless person.

Wow, haha not quite as early as that! I thought of that part of the game perhaps three quarters of a year ago, but I'm quite certain I didn't even know of the RPC's existence back in 2008 - I was still scurrying about the Spore EAUK forums writing in role-playing games. Apparently another one of those independently thought-up ideas.

Finally! Someone who just understands me!

Why do people seem to completely ignore the fact that Rayman 1 existed?

THAT THE VALLEY EXISTED?!

That Betilla the Fairy WAS, in fact, limbless?

And that EVERYONE in Rayman 1 was LIMBLESS?

Don't you just miss those good ol' days?

Sadly, many characters were limbless in R1 due to graphical limitations on consoles. I doubt they planned Betilla to be limbless in that game. But I liked the fact they all were limbless.

Pretty much, I would freak out if that was true.

R1 is very much official canon (not counting designs) and it's a fact.

It never existed. The first game takes place in a setting identified only as "Rayman's world". The word "valley" was an idiosyncrasy that somehow made its way into the Game Boy Advance version, only to be hijacked a decade later and crowbarred into the context of the sequels in a vain attempt to make the original fit more neatly with them. One of my many regrettable contributions to the Rayman mythos. If we respect the intentions of the developers, the setting of the original game corresponds directly to the setting of the sequels. The valley IS the Glade of Dreams. No distinction is ever made.
