Okay, so originally I was JUST using RayWiki back in the beginning of 2020s, then, somewhere around 2023-2024 I decided to make an account so that I could be the full part of the Rayman Community. But then I just went to Russian forums and in one of the topics I noticed the opinion about ships (which was subjective, yet negative) and I was so afraid of getting death threats in my PMs (cuz I am a selfshipper, my ship name is Boxtrice) I deleted it. I’ve been thinking of coming back one day and it finally happened! Here I am! Alive and well, not being afraid of someone PM-ing me to tell bad things to me, I can always put the person into the foe list or block lol

Glad to hear you fought back that fear. Selfshipping ain't anything bad, in fact it might be very creative and fun to do!

As for me, oh God, when was it? I think it was back in 2012 or 2013? I was reading some fanmade comic on DeviantArt that was basically a retelling of Rayman 1 and the author mentioned the forum in her description. My English wasn't the best at that time so I just browsed through the forum, understanding some things better, some worse. I remember I wanted to create an account back then, but the language barrier was too big.

I sure do agree the selfshipping is fun + I figured it out myself once I started making such arts hehe

Well, I ship myself with Raybox - the first of my faves in Rayman franchise. It can be seen in my sig - I love the character a lot, though he's fictional :]

I first visit RPC when i was browsing as a guest on RayWiki back in 2023, then i made the account that same year just to show myself a mod of mine i made two years ago, then, i lost interest in this website for much of '23, '24 and the early to mid '25 until i return to the website in September because i remember my then-inactive account's still there and has been active now since.

Ooh, so we are sort of similar! Except our goals here - they are quite different.
Still, good thing you came back here, we're as happy as I'm happy with myself coming back!

While I'm sure that such a thing would never happen, were someone to send you such a message, don't just block them, report them to us because that's the kind of behavior we certainly do not tolerate here.

Oh, um, okay then. I told about PMs situation being possible because I use them to say thanks to the ones who donate me tings. Anyway, thanks for reminding me "Report" option exists

I'm pretty sure I mentioned before, that when I first seen this website, I thought it was a piracy website similar to Pirate Bay.

Of course, I hadn't ever played Rayman 2 at the time, and then felt a bit silly afterwards.

Haha not to be that guy, but, you’re a little off with your dates.

Dunno if I talked about how I joined yet, but im too lazy to check so whatever, here we go! Back in 2023, I was doing Rayman Origin IL's, most of which were kinda terrible to be honest (I dont even think I knew what breakboosting was yet lol). I used to put a low quality jpeg of Glombrox running for my thumbnails for some reason, but eventually I just started putting random images I saved from back when I was a *dramatic pause* REDDIT USER! Thankfully, I escaped that site. Anyways, what I would also do is scroll around on Youtube trying to find old time trial runs, just to see what routes they used, and if I was faster. One day, I decided to do the same thing on google, just in case someone put their runs on a website or something for some reason. Because of this, I stumbled upon this website, and more specifically, the topic for Rayman Origins Speedruning. Coincidentally, this was around the time I started submitting my runs to Speedrun.com, because before then I was too scared they would get rejected for being too bad (I was admittedly, a very stupid middleschooler). Because of this, I saw a couple of my runs on the topic, and thought that was neat. A couple weeks later, I came back to it, and saw Hoodlumsworld commenting on some guy on Speedrun.com's run descriptions, which were... Intresting? They were in Saudi Arabian, and when I translated them to english with Google Translate, they just kinda looked like gibberish. A week after that, I checked the site once again, and saw Hunchman replying, saying my thumbnails were "intresting." Me, still being a middle schooler, thought it would be funny if I made an account and replied to him. And when I did, I found out that this website isn't just some random forum dedicated to Rayman Origins speedrunning! (I genuinely thought that it was, and never realized that I was just in the Rayman Origins Speedrunning topic for waaaay longer than I should've.) With this information, I decided that I... Would forget about this site for another couple weeks. Eventually, I remembdered that this place exists, and have been here ever since!

Whoa! Now that's an interesting story I see. It's like I study some kind of RPC members lore here! Like, for real! It makes me wanna visit the documentary topic since I need to know more about this site now! Thanks for sharing!!

I'm aboutta do it sooo yeah! I was also checking some topics in the Members Forum (here) and I'm kinda shocked I am getting lots of notifications today (more than 1, 2 or even 3!)
