Yeah the monster problem is really bad, it was raining and was making way for the bed so it can be clear but I got attacked by a zombie on the way, needless to say I died and the butt load of stuff mine.
We need torches everywhere along the walls, or like giant shandeliers with torches.

My brother hasn't played Minecraft in days, and yesterday he suddenly showed that he build an amazingly huge house inside of a mountain, has a group of animals, and is currently working on a underground mine with water in it.

The server should absolutely not be updated to 1.8 pre-release - in my opinion. There are way too many bugs, too much lag, and the chances for a server crash aren't small.
