I've never met anyone in my life who unironically uses Edge

Ah, so it's also Chromium-based? Interesting...

It ain't that bad tbh, it's a fast one and doesn't consume many resources. However, you've sold your soul to Microsoft.

Yes, that's exactly why I use Slimjet/Brave. I don't want to sell my soul to any mega-corporation. They got enough of it already. Might as well give the little guys some of it.

With luakit, my soul goes nowhere. Maybe the lack of soul exchange is the reason for the preternatural failure of certain pages to load properly

I used a 3rd party uninstaller to uninstall it, so (To my knowledge, at least) I'm pretty sure I got rid of it! Just hoping Microsoft doesn't somehow reinstall it without me knowing...

Like I remember it was impossible to fully get rid of IE since it was so tightly integrated into Windows, but I guess Edge is a different kettle of fish given that it just uses a Chromium-based engine instead of a Windows component…

Wait, you couldn't uninstall IE? Another reason to hate it, I guess :P.

I don't think I ever came back here to say that I've been using Brave for the past few months. I'm not entirely sure how much of a difference it makes, but it claims to prevent those random cookies (and often mitigate the annoying popups nearly every website has).

I'm pretty sure IE is still an integral part of Windows 11, even if you can't use it as a separate app anymore. That's how Edge's IE compatibility mode is able to function, and any older apps that use shdocvw to embed browser widgets!

I have to admit that I use both Microsoft Edge, a Chromium based browser and LibreWolf, a Firefox fork, which can make multitasking a bit easier on a personal computer.

I use FireFox because it has Ublock and Sponsorblock.
I don't think I could ever be without these guys. Even if Sponsorblock's on Chrome.
(atleast from what I remember) Makes life so much easier!

Firefox was alway my go to before I started using Brave. Maybe I'll end up switching back again in the future. We'll see how things pan out.

Bump.
My computer kept slowing down using my old browser, so now I've switched to Brave myself. I really like that each tab I open shows me the memory usage so I can remove the tabs I'm not using that use up a lot of memory. Of course this would not be too much problem if i didn't have a lot of things on my laptop in the first place

Really? That sounds cool!
I'm still on luakit. With the latest updates to WebKitGTK+, there thankfully aren't too many issues...
