I've never actually owned a laptop. Although towards the end of this year I'm thinking of getting one. Kinda nervous really, wanna get it right.

Huh, well then, be sure to know what you plan on doing with said laptop, it's good to know what spec you're looking at so you don't end up getting too much or too little.

Well I don't do any gaming on the PC anymore so that should help a lot. I just want a laptop that doesn't get too hot if you have it on your lap or a surface. Because my friend had a laptop where the fan was underneath and it used to seriously over-heat & cook. It's a bad design to have the fan on the bottom surely..

Yeah when laptops are of concern, research is pretty important. Harder to fix than a desktop can be. At least, if the manufacture own OEM products doesn't suck horribly.

You could try turning off auto correction: Settings > General > Keyboard > toggle Auto-correction

I usually have autocorrection off on my iPhone 5s.

I actually did that on purpose to bump the thread.

No problem, though I wouldn't really bother with bumping in an announcement thread, seeing as it's always at the top. Either ways, I don't see why there was as significant an uproar over a double post in the first place.

I need to know how I can stop the forum from sending updates to my email. I haven't been able to figure it out.

What kind of updates? The only updates I get from the forum is when I get PMs.

Oh no, I especially enjoy myself without a phone. I use it for music when I feel like it and some important internet things/surviving boring lectures by coming here.

Thing is, I'm all for others going full zombie on their pocket machines, but if I think of myself joining that crowd, it disgusts me. People lose sight on the beautiful world around them because their screen is more interesting twenty-four-seven.
