For the Magician, we will see if he appears again or not. Maybe he's still alive, I'm not against this idea. The hat on the screenshot of Rayman Legends can be a piece of evidence that he survives to the explosion of the Moody Clouds.

But... Since the game takes place in paintings, maybe it's not the real Magician. Maybe it's a "fake" Magician, like the Lividstones and the Livid Dead. What do you think?

The upside-down hat in the screenshot looks crumpled and uninhabited by certain magic folk. I don't think the Magician survived, but if he did, he lost his hat in the fall. Rayman, Globox and the two Teensie friends survived the fall simply because they are the main characters and they are such major main characters that they could not afford to die just like that. This is also why Bowser never decides to really drop Peach into a lava pit or to simply flatten the entire Mushroom Kingdom (two things he could easily have done multiple times).

Oh crap, that's a good point, my mind is blown again!!

I believe the Magician is dead... Rayman, Globox and the Teensies had a chance to escape, as they had Moskitos to protect themselves... but the magician? brr.. I just want that 16-years-old traitor dead.

I've been surfing the internet trying to find an Atari Jaguar system I've checked eBay, but do you guys have any other suggestions besides flea markets and classic gaming shops (I'm not near any). preferably reasonably cheap prices. :D

Has there been any news from Gamescom?

Also, on the subject on villains escaping in Rayman games: I think that it's a good thing that the developers leave the villains' fates undecided, because it leaves them with options of re-introducing them in later games. Mr. Dark in Rayman Legends! Come on Ubi, you know you wanna! Just please, please don't make him a Teensie! Hang on...too late...http://raymanorigins.uk.ubi.com/#characters-4

Awesome trailer with some new levels shown, remix of Rayman Origins theme, and the "release date", and one sad thing, it's only on Wii U at least in this year.

EDIT: And a new gameplay from IGN

Based on that video it seems like the game will be virtually unplayable without Murfy. The levels look alright, but I guess I can't get too hyped over a game I know isn't on any of the consoles I own. So I guess the Wii U will be out just before christmas? Probably with some Rayman Legends bundle and stuff like that.

Ah didn't notice that edit! Looks like Barbara will not be a painting exclusive character guys. The level; played by IGN looks pretty interesting, and it doesn't seem impossible without Murfy. Hmm...Barbara may not fit too well into rayman's universe, but it looks like we won't have to welcome a new member to Tily's family. XD

A new trailer? Already?

Well, interesting.

I see that the Skull Coins will be back. Cool. It was a nice challenge in Rayman Origins.

Those hairy monsters are a crossing between Caterpillars and Darktoons, no? :)

And there are some new enemies too... Kinds of living purple mushrooms and.... Minotaurs warriors. With a glowing hammer... This weapon reminds me something... But what?

At the end of the gameplay from IGN, I see a lot of columns and statues (of Globox :D) typical of the Ancient Greece (The Minotaur reminds me this too)... Well, I'm okay with a castle level, it's a all-purpose thematic. But this kind of structures... No, I don't like it. It reminds too much our History. It shouldn't be in a Rayman game.

Oh look, the box art is shown at the end of the trailer. I really like this game when it comes to challenge, seems like some real Nintendo Hard!

:boon:

The trailer is okay, the gameplay looks nice. Well I'll probably only play with Grand Minimus after all.

Major bummer there, it does look gorgeous though.
Oh well, I can focus on getting other games I wanted instead now.

This new trailer and gameplay does look pretty and awesome, which is pretty awesome.
I wonder how it plays on singleplayer though, without anyone using the Wii U screen.

The level shown in the IGN gameplay doesn't have any impossible stuff without Wii U Gamepad. I think this is just an extra gimmick.

New off-screen footage from IGN. Showing the new level "Swarmed and Dangerous" which looks to be tricky

Anyways, if nobody has yet mentioned this, you can switch between Rayman and Murfy when playing the game, so I think you can do this as well
in 1-player mode. Aside from that, I like the new enemies, like the minotaur, but those furry spider/Darktoon-like critters look to be a pain.

Sorry, but this gameplay was already posted, but you show us the yt version, so it's ok.

New trailer, great! :D

I also watched IGN's gameplay, it seems that Skull Coins are back!

I like the new enemies shown on it, especially the antropormorphical bull (Inspiration in a Taurus, Minotaurus?)... a ticklish one!

The backgrounds are really cool. Damn... I wonder if one day I'll ever have Rayman Legends. As I was imagining, the dragon picture would be the boxart of the game, with the exception it got a little adapted.

It would be great if this game come to PS3 sometime later. Instead of the Wii U for murfy We could use PS Move? :fou:

I think the PS Vita would be a better choice to control Murfy
