According to the documentary, it was posted in December 2008. It's more of a 150% increase compared to the pre-100,000 period.

That's when exams take place in almost all Russian unis... December-January and June-July.

That's how they do it at Norwegian unis too.

That figure doesn't just count members, you know. Bots, guests, it's all good.

There were genuinely 180 members online once but it was a pre-planned event.

Didn't you participate as well? We definitely held an online-users record, so unless that figure has been rigged we did have 180 users online at one time.

I remember participating in something like that back when PC had the Solaris skin... but the record was like 40-50 I believe..?

Perhaps you're right? I just don't see where the 180 figure could've come from.

There were two of these record days, I believe. Maybe you were absent in the second?

A "members in a day record" sounds like fun/a complete nightmare to me.
