Re: How's the weather?
There was a bit of snow here two days ago. I woke up early in the morning and saw a thin blanket of it, and when I looked out the window again later in the afternoon (I was very busy working on things), it was all gone. It's sitting at 0 now, I want that -6 back we had last week. :<

It's been pretty good considering what month it is. - and by good I mean relatively warm. Nice and sunny also. Long may it continue!

(279 / 180) * pi = 4.86 kelvin?
Awfully cold!

Re: How's the weather?
When you prefix the unit kelvin with the degrees symbol, I can only assume that you are referring to a composite unit of degrees of arc and kelvin (since the degree kelvin is not a unit). Degrees of arc can be converted to dimensionless numbers (radians, the natural units of arc) simply by dividing by 180 and multiplying by pi. Doing that in this case leaves us with the basic unit of kelvin.
Moral of the story: it's not degrees Kelvin, it's just kelvin!

Re: How's the weather?
We started off with sleet and ice this morning. Funny enough, yesterday was quite warm. 72 degrees Fahrenheit (22 Celsius). This morning ended up being 22 degrees Fahrenheit (-6 Celsius). Makes me want to go take a nap.

So much cold I do not even. Heating on inside and still wearing two sweaters.

Re: How's the weather?
Twice this week I spent the day at home in my pyjamas, with the heating off, in comfort. Yet when my mother came home she had to keep her heavy coat on until I revealed that the heating was off and that I could turn it on.
In other words, apparently the weather is cold, but I don't feel it.

Thanks for reminding me that our house has heating and we can, in fact, turn it on when we're cold. I feel like an idiot.

But think how lonely your babies will be now that you've discovered you don't need them to warm you up.
Re: How's the weather?
Weather has been awful today. Just very grey. Not bad enough to excuse going out and doing things, but then not good enough to actually want to do anything.

Re: How's the weather?
The weather here's been very nice. It's been consistently sub-zero, so no rain, only snow here and there, and it's super fluffy. There's been almost no totally cloudy days, and the cold is a very pleasant cold (provided you're wearing enough to fend off the humid -11 C nights).

Re: How's the weather?
It's been sub-zero here also, but no snow, just one day of ridiculous downpour here. It was particularly cold today, I was even shivering in my friends house with the radiator on full tilt. I do have a problem with the hibernal weather though, I shiver like mad and react to the cold more

Re: How's the weather?
I'm pretty sensitive to temperature too, I can't even eat ice cream without my mouth hurting it's so cold (and I just don't think ice cream tastes any better than okay). My friend said that he loves the feeling of drinking tea hot so that it kind of floods your senses, and I'm like no, that hurts! I'm always waiting a good ten minutes when food arrives so that it can cool down (though waiting's not that unusual).
