RayFan9876 wrote:Ikke, don't piss me off. However your idea is the closest so far. Before he became evil, Mister Dark and Betilla fell in love prior to Rayman 1. Using that chance, Mister Dark overthrew Betilla and stole the Protoon. Betilla tried to stop him from taking it, but he was too powerful (que Rayman 1 intro). Ly is Betilla's and Mister Dark's daughter (her colours are sort of a cross between the two if you think about it), and Betilla didn't want her to know that. This is what she tells Ly at the end of the game when she passes away, and Ly takes head of the Fairy Council.

@Spiraldoor:
I'm making sure not to interfere with the canon, only add to it. That's for both continuity and when I'm nearing completion I'll present it to Michel/Ubisoft, both as a portfolio presentation for a future job and to see if it has a chance at being published. If it's declined, I'll set it up as a free download. If it's accepted then I'll hope they'd be willing to improve the quality of some aspects using resources only companies and developers have access to. I do see a chance at it being accepted, because if I'm able to achieve the quality production I picture in my head (which I know how to achieve, it'll just be time consuming), then, from a money standpoint, they could use it as a tool to make money without having ever paid any developers. Of course it'll have to pass by Michel's view first, so I hope he sees it as worthy. ;)
oh lord...... teensie + nymph = f*cked up magic fox.....
Well different species of dogs commonly breed (wolves are dogs by the way), so I don't see why this freedom can't apply anywhere else. Also I'm pretty sure Ly is a nymph.

Remember that Teensies and Ly are imaginary characters made out of pixles.

i leraned from my brother roney and he learned from collage but i can make a tut for you.
also rigging can be very easy and very hard... get it. so any way it is best to build the bones or "bip" around the mesh so that it makes skinning much easier. and any thing can be used as a bone even rayman :D

Oh that would be fantastic! Show me everything you know and make it as easy to understand as possible. Do you have an estimation of when it could be done? Or perhaps you could help me over Skype or something? Do you have Skype?

You got it. I'll create a video showing some animation techniques after you finish your tutorial. :) I'll speak in the video as well so you'll be able to follow easier.

What have you tried so far in regards to animation?

What parts of the animation were you having trouble with? Also, what scared platform do you mean?

Possibly, it depends how my schedule goes.

I've remodeled the head from scratch! Here's a comparison between the old mesh and the new:

UN--BE--LIEVABLE!!! I think you have a 99.99999999999999recurring 9% chance of getting your game published by Ubi. The .1% chance of not getting published being if the person who checks your game (Not Ancel some random dude) is a complete dick.

yaymycomputerisfixed. Turned out to be a wire near the power button that had gone loose, like I said. Yet I paid 60€ for this stupid loose wire. *looks at wire*

... :pfff:

But whatever. That there, looks really neat! Now I want to see some specular on those eyes. :mryellow: But that's just me.
