Master is correct. Lords Of Shadows 2 came out a year or two ago, while I thought it was a decent game, it did NOT go down well with fans, including the first one.
The ditched the adventure "metroidvania" style and changed it to a pure hack 'n slash instead which completely breaks up the Castlevania tradition.

So anyone here going to watch the Splatoon Direct on the 7th? It's gonna show start at 7:00 AM for me, so I have to be up extra early to watch it seeing as I have work the night before.

Meh, normally I'd watch the Nintendo Direct. But seeing it's splatoon only, I'll skip.

The 7th... let's see. Oh, Thursday? I don't have school that day so I'll check it out. Admittedly I'm not super hyped for Splatoon but it looks fun. (Got more finals the day after though), I'm sure it won't be a long direct though so no big deal.

Hmm, I'll probably have to pass on that, though do let us know the details.

I'm going to guess they'll add some Nintendo clothing stuff, Mario cap and stuff like that. It's such a Nintendo thing to do.

There will be set of Super Mario Sunshine based stages like Delfino Plaza, Porto d’Oro or Monte Bianco.
Um... fucking yes.
-Special promotion announced: If purchase the game on Nintendo eshop before July 31st, you can recieve a free download code for 1 out of 5 possible games. These games are:
-Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
-Hyrule Warriors
-The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
-Pikmin 3
-Super Mario 3D World
Shame. I own all these games. Though I guess I could sell one luckily if this is true. (Put it towards that new GPU)

Shitty taste. I bet you think MGS V looks bland too because "OH it's M rated and dark, I can't handle it", get a load of this guy.

Mario Maker is good but it should not cost more than $10
I just don't see how could anyone pay $60 for level editior.

I don't believe 60 dollar is the final price to be honest. Just because it's the pre-order price doesn't mean it's final. I don't think Nintendo has even given a retail price themselves yet

@Brad
Could you justifiy with actual reasons why do you think Mario Maker should cost $60?
It should cost $60 only if you had option to create your own "Mario Game" Not just levels but the game with main menu screen, map, custom credits, have option to compose your soundtrack, customize boss moves in battle, ect...
@Imco
It was already confirmed it will have standard retail price like all the games (which is $60) and that is not just based on pre-order price. I remember reading it somewhere.

Hmm, I do think full price for a simple level editor seems a little too much, the LBP series gives much more both in terms of content and capability for the same price, for instance.

On the other hand. We don't really know how advanced this game will be. So far we've only seen snippets and I don't think Nintendo's even set a release date yet.

True, but I don't honestly see Ninty giving an extreme amount of flexibility and control. Time will tell, I guess.

Let's see. This isn't your basic level editor. You can make an entire Mario game in Mario Maker. You can have 4 levels per world and up to eight worlds in total for one game. They didn't just rip sprites from previous games, but they made new sprites to fit each themed game they've included. And they also transferred new moves into the previous games. So you'll be able to wall jump or ground pound in the original Super Mario Bros. or Super Mario World. You're able to share these online and download more levels from all over the world. Details are scarce, so we don't know what they'll have more. $60 is the standard price for most software now, I don't see what the fuss is about. And really if you think this software is worth $10, I'm sorry but you're cheap.
And also, I was referring to Rayfist seeing as he called me out for my "shit taste". Well, I'm sorry for him seeing his Xenoblade series is not as loved as Splatoon or Mario Maker. They're getting the attention he doesn't want them to get. He'd rather have the dull, faded game of Xenoblade X have the limelight. Splatoon after all has been given its own event coming up pretty soon, included in a nation-wide tour, and its own amiibo series. But preferences and preferences, but dull, faded X is nothing eye-catching to me. And Metal Gear Solid, is something I can care less.

Mmm, personally I think this is more of a $40 game, but then again, we haven't seen the complete product yet.
