That sounds about right. 2 years after rayman 3, roughly.

I don't think Raymans age effects the games

Yeah, Sonic's age doesn't affect his games.

Technically Rayman is 12 as the first Rayman game was released in 1995

Well, unless anybody else has speculation as to Rayman's age, there really isn't much point for this topic any more.

So he would have just born when Rayman 1 started...
2007 - 12 = 1995 (Origin) - 1995 (First Rayman Game) = 0.
Rayman's original origin says he was young boy named Jimmy brought into a world called Hereitscool as Rayman to fight the evil. And directly after the first version, the Atari Jaguar version, they ditched it for the story of some mysterious, enigmatic guy with floating body pieces.

Yeah. I don't like the Jimmy factor in the game.

Never even heard of the Jimmy thing. It sounds really weird.

Ancel didn't like it either, which is the side I'm on--Rayman doesn't need a stated origin.

I mean, a backstory is fine, but only if they're set in stone, or in a prequel. We don't have either of those, probably because the mystery is more appealing.

The current one is. And it's not set in stone.
