I believe it is, there's several kinds of leaks, one specifically about the operating system itself. Now this may not be the exact problem for this situation, but it could. The crashes and problems I've been told about are when the user is running the game on Windows 10, no complaints from 8.1 or older.

I'm fairly sure I have at least attempted to fix my W10 memory leak but I could be wrong. I will try that again later and report back.

Oh I wanted to remind everyone that has played the game to give feedback. I would appreciate it

EDIT: Raymanni, did you test the game on older operating systems yet?

I tried it on my laptop but the connection wasn't suitable and downloading the game from the web took too long. I will report back when I get it working.
EDIT: I tried it just now and it did work but the game still tested the limits of my poor laptop which has only 2gb of memory.

I got no clue why the game won't work on W10 though. After some research this also has nothing to do with the memory leak inside of the OS itself since it's been fixed. I'm going to try the game on other W10's and see if the game still keeps crashing.
At least now I can play the game somehow.
EDIT2: Tested on another W10 and it worked. I watched the memory usage closely from task manager and at one point at around 600mb the game started running while on my computer the usage would have skyrocketed to around 1200mb and crash. It's almost if the loading screen can't start the game for some reason and just loops around using up a lot of memory.

Anything you can do to make it actually function is good enough. There's more kinds of serious memory leaks. I guess it all depends on the RAM usage. Its recommended that you should start the game without any other applications running.

Yes of course, I have tried almost everything I can think of. The problem might also be in the game trying to do something what it can't, therefore getting stuck on the loading screen and crashing. Maybe the game tries to access the appdata or temp files but can't? Idk, it's beyond me. I'll just play the game on my laptop.
One more thing; the game worked on W10s that had been upgraded from 7 but mine is a fresh 10 installation, maybe that has something to do with it?

If it couldn't access the appdata or even the temp files than it probably would crash for everyone. Not just certain people using W10. I think it might have something to do with installation, if your talking about the limited free offer to upgrade than most likely. Cause your not buying a full, new W10 that comes with all features. I could be incorrect, but that's my theory about this.

Fairly sure that you get the full thing when you use the upgrade offer. That being said, I have heard of folk who ended up having issues installing via upgrade, and had to do a clean install, but it was still using the license from the upgrade.

I see. Well I guess it all comes down to certain RAM usage that a certain computer has. I believe that mine has 16GB and like I said, I have zero problems running the game.

The game even worked on a shitty 2gb laptop.

Nevertheless, I'm going to start playing the game and tell my thoughts later.

Worked on a 2GB laptop? Well then, surprising. Good enough

I wish you would be more specific. Cause basically I told you everything to fix whatever problem your having.

No. Here's what you should completely do to have no problems in the menu: When you download the data folder, open it, don't extract it. When you open it, there's another data folder (for some reason), copy that to wherever you want to and open it and move the .exe that's inside the folder to the location where the data folder is. That will make the game work correctly.

This is made in Game Maker 8, memory leaks are standard with this version. Have you tried porting this to GMS? I could perhaps compile it for you, if you wish.
Edit: I believe the Memory is actually caused by the fact that you are loading the entire Soundtrack into memory, when you should be streaming them from disk or loading them into memory when you actually need to use them.

Oh really? I tried about a year or two ago to compile it to GMS but didn't put much effort

Yeah sure you can try to compile it sounds good.
