Basically this, it allows you to do something like a ground pound then spin attack while directing which way you will go, and it makes you jump really high.

a yby up or formerly known a y-yb up is the input sequence of a trick to reach a higher hight than usual.
y = punch
b = jump

There are multiple and I think Steo's example would be called angled yby up.
Meaning you necessarily need to use the Stick of the controller as the d-pad only has 45Β° as an option.

there are delayed yby ups, faster and slower ones, idk if the most recent one has gotten a name (up kick onto platform and then yb up).

It's especially useful in levels going up or in dojo type levels.
There is also yby in quick succession but you press run y yb up which is a kick upwards but without losing speed in air.

These shorten aren't really perfectly thought out as some overlap πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
Edit: some possible states to do it
back kick yby up means first y is a back kick.
grounded ground pound yby up is what Steo showed
if you hit an object that breaks/dies you can do it as well. there is more but those are the main ones.

I messed about with yby ups on Hell Breaks Loose before, there's ways to get to certain areas without moving the platforms, but there's invisible death barriers if you let the dragons pass you, and I could never make that jump at the end, but it would be possible to not use Murfy in that last section if it's possible to gain enough height.

(The part with the bad air could be substituted with a bad COVID-19 joke at this stage :P)

I guess it's time to get the next challenge ready too since this one ends in two days.

Nah, carbon monoxide is better. It can kill you stone dead in three minutes flat, but COVID-19 takes longer, and only kills a few percent of those it infects. :hap:

Any ideas for this month? I won't play as the rules state but would still like to look at it.

Well congratulations to the top three again!

I think that for this month, it might make sense to try something like best lap time in a certain Rayman M/Arena track, just to mix things up a little. I'll look into it when I get home later.

If there wouldn't be any competitors, I could do something else instead. I just want to do something that possibly isn't Redemption or Legends related for a change this time, just to change things up a little.

Maybe to start off, we could use a standard level. I'm thinking Treasure Ship, since it features in my 17th anniversary sig. :mrgreen:
