Was there even a sanctuary level in the PS1 version?

Sanctuary of Water and Ice. Did that level even exist?

I thought Whale Bay and SOWAI were joined together.

Hmm, they might be, but there is still a sanctuary there.

My memory of R2 levels is really starting to fail. I need to play it again, soon, as at the moment I'm getting so confused with RR and R2.

TSOWAI isn't in the PS1 version. At the end of the Whale Bay, there's a big underwater door. Swim through, surface, and there's Axel yelling "Who is it that dares disturb the tranquility of this place?"

The room behind the big door IS the sanctuary. Or at least what's left of it.

So the part where Rayman fights Axel does not have a huge slide before?

Ah, okay then. Man, I really need to replay Rayman 2. I've been searching for the disk for quite some time now.

For me, it has to be the 'opening' of the Griskins' world. The tower is, as Globox puts it, 'Incredible!'

The most magical Rayman moment for me was when I triggered the Triple-Razoff Glitch and completed part 5 of TBOM with a great score

The most magical moment?

Probabily too much moments. Like:

- Playing Rayman games for the first time (Rayman 1) and being stunned by the Primordial Forest's (Pink Plant Woods) colours and life.

- Visiting the Sanctuaries of Rayman 2/RR for the first time. I LOVE the architecture of them.

- Getting every Mask of Polokus for the first time.

- Entering the building of the Fairy Council.

- And many other moments that I cannot currently remember. But I'm sure I'll feel more magical moments again when I start to play Rayman Origins.

When I received Rayman 1 for the PC when I was three, I enjoyed it as much as someone could. The truly magical moment I felt was when I stepped out of the thick of the Dream Forest and into the rolling hills of Bongo Hills of Band Land. The beautiful transition and entrance into the perfect fantasy land with the perfect enveloping music. That felt so magical.

-Playing Rayman 2 for the 1st time...
-Rayman freeing Ly & Purple Lum ascending into sky
-The room with air currents
-Sancuary #1, ice skating
-Echoing Caves ending with the sea breeze, quarter moon, warship flying in distance...
-Seeing the first Ray3 screenshot of the fairy counsel
-the tower in land of the livid dead
-Snowboarding @ the summit

I have also a few of these Most Magical Moments:

-Playing Rayman 2 for the first time
-The 'Entering the Prison Ship' music playing at the Fairy Glade
-The Sanctuary of Water and Ice sliding
-Axel, Umber and Foutch (especially Axel)
-The Cave of Bad Dreams from Rayman 2
-The Sanctuary of Stone and Fire - all of those passages...
-The Fairy Council from Rayman 3
-The Land of the Livid Dead Tower (and the magical music!)
