While we're on Uglette, someone once had a headcanon that she divorced Globox, hence his behaviour in Rayman 3.

That could explain why Globox has been sleeping for a hundred years instead of taking care of his 650 kids.

Maybe Globox's children had already grown up to the point of being able to care for themselves

When Razorbeard shot down the building with Globox attached to it with the Grolgoth... did he just survive that?
It seems only logical to me that they simply replaced him with another person to allow Rayman to not mentally break down after his survival of the explosion.
Globox is dead.

Aww, that'd be sweet.

And now I'm sad...

When did this become the headcanon thread?
Hm, plausible, with 650 kids around, y'could have one take the role of his father in grief.

Nah, I don't think that would be funny.

Poglox is Globox's son, all grown up, but Globox is ashamed of him because he flails his tiny Glute around the Glade.

Okay. Whose idea was it to bring up the fact that Globox might be dead or divorced w/Uglette? Whose putting all the hate on Globox?
Well, I would honestly be hyped to see a game that directed right after Rayman 2 in the same storyline. Bring back the Rayman 2 characters. Maybe a few from Rayman Arena/M could squeeze to actually have an affiliation with a story instead of just being playable in Arena/M. *runs off*

I would like to see a final game in the 2D UbiArt series that has a Metroidvania structure in some way. Online play might also be nice.
And at some point, a new 3D Rayman, but I would honestly like them to keep the style from Origins and Legends. That CGI trailer for Rayman Legends looked amazing, and it would be possible to get in-game graphics similar enough to that on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Heck, there are PS3 and 360 games that look nearly like they are pre-rendered CGI as is.
If not, a new 3D Rayman that is completely it's own thing would be interesting and fresh. I personally feel there is no need to go back to the world of Rayman 2 or 3, they were what they were, and to be honest, we'd probably all find something to complain about anyway, like them ruining a character or something. :V

I've been wanting to see a Metroidvania Rayman 2D game also, I see we think alike in that regard. And I think it'd work pretty well, seeing how powers could be used to unlock and easily traverse new areas, and being able to continuously explore a world like that would be quite neat indeed.
As for 3D, hm, I'm not sure, a mix of 2's platforming and essence mixed with a combo of Rayman 3's and Origins/Legends action might do well.

I would really like online play. I could then finally do CO-OP let's play.

In terms of game mechanics, I think the Legends style could translate perfectly into 3D, with some tweaks of course. I say that because, when I watch footage of Sonic Lost World, I do think of Origins and Legends, right down to the fact there is a run button. And if Sonic's speeds can work in 3D along with the parkour moves, so can Rayman's, seeing as he doesn't go quite as fast as Sonic.
Throw in some moves from Rayman 2, like the purple lum swings and the swimming mechanics, and maybe something like the power-ups in Rayman 3, then I think we'd have a winner.
Though a game like that would probably require fine camera work.
And regarding online play in a new 2D game, I understand Ancel's reasoning for not including online play in Legends, and he has a point, but I think he's forgetting that people who are passionate about his series may want to play with each other, but can't because they are too far away from each other. I rarely get to play co-op in Legends, and only did so once or twice in Origins. The only people who like the game that I know don't have much time to play it with me (granted, I don't have much time to play it right now either, but mid-term is just a week away).
Though there is also the issue of lag. Online play in a game like Legends would have to be almost completely lag free.
