I'm guessing any evidence of tampering, even if it's a simple visual modification, is enough cause for concern for there to be potential unknown mods? And I would imagine Speedrun.com would be erring on the side of caution in which case?

What is even happening? Eric just beat Torsinn's WR in Rayman 2... only for Torsinn to get a new WR in Rayman Origins.
Come to think about, maybe it actually makes sense. You can only speedrun so many games at once after all.
