So I got BG&E, but the game has constant graphical glitches, the only solution I found was to turn off HW Vertex Processing, but then the game runs at about 15fps, does anyone know an alternate fix?

Try and see if you can illegally download a copy of the game from GOG.com.

GOG.com does not work like that.

What RayTunes said is definitely possible though. GOG versions of each game can easily be found elsewhere.

Which unfotunately causes stuff like Ubisoft DRM in case of newer games. I wonder whether "you must be online" stuff will become standard for consoles soon.

I sure hope not; I don't even have my Xbox hooked up to the internet. Doing so would require quite the rewiring in my house. And then there's those households which don't even have an internet connection - forcing them to get one so their kid can play a game is unreasonable.

If it does, I’ll probably have to give up on consoles altogether. It might not be so bad.

Well perhaps it's time Ubisoft quit trying to make money trough Rayman 2, though I did pay for the Rayman trilogy.

Why would any company quit trying to make money from any product under any circumstances? Do you think they have ‘enough’?

No, but it's just really disappointing when Rayman DS is announced and it turns out to be Rayman 2, when you hear about Rayman 3D and it turns out to be Rayman 2, when you search on Rayman at GOG.com and see Rayman 2. It's one of the best games ever, but their hugely overdoing it.

Not at all. I hope every future platform receives its own version of Rayman 2, and that the game continues to improve forever. Don’t like it? Don’t buy it.

That's not my point. My point is that it's irritating to constantly hear announcements and they are always remakes.

*ports.
What I would have loved to see was a
remake.

A remake of Rayman 2 would be nice. But only if it has prettier graphics, and no other changes.

the gameplay is perfect as it is. Just think about the opportunities in 3d graphics nowadays.

I was not irritated by Rayman DS or Rayman 3D. Perhaps you should stop assuming that every Rayman game which is announced is going to be a brand-new one.

I would like it if they fixed the camera.

I don't think I ever had any problems with the camera. Maybe in R3, once or twice.

Controlling the camera with the L1 and R1 buttons is really very primitive. Why not use the right anologue stick instead, and give the player freedom to move the camera in 360 degrees at any speed they want? It’s not like it’s being used for anything else.

Ohh, yeah, that's the problem? No wonder I didn't suffer from this then. I have the computer game that makes use of the mouse for camera movement. I barely ever used it however.
