I am pretty sure it was due to technical reasons that they had to drop Ly in the end. If you compare the height between her and Rayman you see there is quite a difference. In Rayman M all characters have approximate heights. Ly would look really odd.

Yeah, that's more or less what I was getting at. She would've looked kind of weird and out of place.

I had that thought too, but in French: P'tit Ly -> 'Tit Ly -> Tily. (And the second T is obviously silent before anyone implies otherwise. )

Well, all the unlockable characters are counterparts to existing ones? Henchman 1000 to Henchman 800. Rayman to Dark Rayman. Dark Globox / Globette to Globox. Razorwife to Razorbeard.

That leaves the Teensies without a counterpart. Ly would be a counterpart to them, perhaps not in looks, but in function, it would fit.

I guess? Still seems like an odd choice, although, again, one I'm not complaining about.

Razorwife was just an excuse for an eight playable character. There was about to be nine (Dark Globox?) but that got ultimately scrapped.

Hey I'm new to this community and I were wondering if I have to play Rayman M if I want to play online?
Can't I use the gamecube / xbox version? (Rayman ARENA)
Can I somehow get those graphics into the PC version? (Rayman M)

For me its almost impossible to play Rayman M because of the graphics, since I know the in-s and out-s of every single map on rayman arena.

I believe it’s impossible to get Arena’s Xbox/GC UI in Rayman M.

Aw that's too bad :/ I really like the UI of rayman arena gamecube.

But, now I'm interested in online play since I've been playing this game since I was a young child and I want to play with others and rate my skill level with others, I've seen some discussions about tournaments etc.

So now I'm wondering, is there any skype chat / discord chat for this community?

Rayman Arena is just the North American version of Rayman M; M was released on PC and PS2, whereas Arena was released on PC/PS2/Xbox/GameCube. Arena for PC is currently the only version that has an online hack.

Yep, there are only minor differences between M and Arena on PC such as the menu having actual buttons for confirming, LAN-multiplayer and minor level layout changes. The GC and Xbox versions are completely unique, while both PS2 versions (M and Arena) as like the PC version.

As I've seen lots of players have been able to.
They use a program called Evolve.
If anyone want to play, just add Mojko on evolve

You didn't get it: apparently we have a rayman arena skype group, but none even try to arrange a game. Btw tunngle is better, unistalled evolve cuz sucks.
