Re: Please introduce yourself here
Yeah, and by using the Kelvin scale, you realize that the temperature two times hotter than 0°C is 273.15°C, which is a lot ^^Shape of Death wrote:Hmmm, let's take -5 Celsius and double it, we get -10 C, which is colder, not hotter.
I guess?
-273.15°C and -459,67°F actually.gojaromeiginla wrote:Yeah. And there is a possible lowest temperature. It's about -370 Celcius. That is also known as 0 Kelvin. I don't know the Fahrenheit temperature, though.
Re: Please introduce yourself here
There is no limit to how low a temperature could go. It could go to as cold as you wanted it or hotter.

Re: Please introduce yourself here
You're wrong. It can't go below the absolute zero, because this is when particles have the minimum energy. You can get temperatures of millions of degrees though.
Re: Please introduce yourself here
So that means a temperature can only rise infinitely, but can't fall infinitely?

Re: Please introduce yourself here
Exactly. So can energy. This explains the use of logarithmic scales.
Re: Please introduce yourself here
Logarithmic scales?, never heard of them. Guess that's another thing I didn't listen to in science lessons.
Re: Please introduce yourself here
What happens if the temperate hits absolute zero? Does time like stop?
Re: Please introduce yourself here
Absolute zero, it would just be freezing.
Re: Please introduce yourself here
You sure. I thought it would be like the doldrums or something.
Re: Please introduce yourself here
I am sure that 0 is freezing.

Re: Please introduce yourself here
Everything solidifies before the temperature reaches the absolute zero, and it cannot be compared to natural temperatures on Earth -_-
Re: Please introduce yourself here
The natural temperature of my bedroom at the moment is about 2 degrees celcius.
Re: Please introduce yourself here
That doesn't sound right.
Re: Please introduce yourself here
It's rather cold in here.
