Well, if you delete a post, it obviously reduces the counter by one, but that's not the end of the world if you do it during the day. It's only if you do it after the fact that it makes a nonsense of the record.

Well from the barely any submissions and votes being either slow/non existant, the submited images also just...dont spark much creativety in me

Plus i feel like this threat gets ignored untill the deadline and thats really not helping

But maybe for the voting you could make a Poll for each entry, i think that would make voting more interesting

Yeah I think that is probably to prevent default winning if there was only one vote and they voted for themselves.

We used to use polls, but it was changed to voting by posts due to suspected misuse of the system. Still, I don't see why people would be more shy to vote by post…

I do know people that are to shy to post, due to various reasons or something

I never thought about that, but I guess the only difference is the polls are anonymous so nobody will know who voted.

I think it's fair enough not to know who voted, as long as the people who vote are honest.

I guess that's true, you don't want people voting for themselves...

I have mentioned this before but we could move this thread to the Members section and alternate between Rayman images and non-Rayman images, that would at least add more variety to the contest. The General Manipulate the Image thread would have to be closed though.

Given the amount of activity, I don't think it is a good idea to have two MTI threads.
