You didn't get it: apparently we have a rayman arena skype group, but none even try to arrange a game. Btw tunngle is better, unistalled evolve cuz sucks.
What skype group?
There's a Rayman skype group, but not a rayman arena skype group.
Btw I dont think anyone play with Tunngle.

There is a rayman arena skype group, but it wasn't very active lately. But if it's good for others, this weekend we could play a game or two. And next week will be the end of the exam week for me, so after that, I can be more active again I really miss this game (haven't played it with tunngle, only with evolve, but if it's better, I should give it a try)

So! I'd like to propose an idea! I don't know how many of you are particularly musically inclined, but I've always liked the character themes that play during the race portions of Arena. They're real good stuff; all built on the same bones but each very distinct sounding in their own right, and fitting to the characters as well. However, there are literally no remixes of them, or anything from Arena, anywhere on the internet. At all. I think we ought to fix that...we meaning you because I don't know musical notation for beans, but still! I think making remixes of the character themes could be great fun! If enough people contributed we could even put them together into an 'album' of sorts!
Thoughts?

I found a new cheat:
It's the best thing ever, but it's very hard to do for what it ends up unlocking. Check the description of the video for more information.

Wow, nice find! That's a really well hidden cheat! I haven't heard that singing before either... I wonder if it's the developers singing...

It is. It is actually known the singing thing but I thought it was just a music file left there in the disc but it seems it had a real purpose in the end !
@Rib Commented in your video!

Wow!!!
I wonder if there's something similar for the Edward Scissorhands music in Rayman 3…

Wow, never knew why was that music mode there in the menu. Guess I'll try this at the weekend, when I get home from college dorm.

Ah I was wondering whether that music file got used somewhere in the game. I found it a long time ago when trolling through the audio directories of my RM installation on my PC.

Nice!! That's pretty damn fast indeed.
I figured out once how to skip by the most time-consuming bit of this course (the last bit right before the finish) once I learned that the Purple Lums can literally teleport you from 20 m away if you shoot at them before the camera turns the bend to the final stretch. But even then, this is fast. Well done!

I'm more than sure that I would be able to save like 1 up to 2 seconds here. 0:43.000 is probably like a maximum here
EDIT: Improved to 0:45.490

Nice, didn't we have a topic where we kept users' scores?

I even visited it some time ago, but it has magically disappeared recently, so I posted on this one :/

Yes, but activity on it didn't keep up after a while if I remember correctly. The guy who created the topic, Rayrobi, disappeared from the forum last year, a possible reason why activity died.
There was talk last year about reviving the topic. But unfortunately nothing came of it.

The issue seems to be with managing such a thing. It's easy to have the HoF because it's automated, you just plonk in your code and it's done for you. But since the other games don't have such a luxury, it'd have to be managed manually, and such things tend to become rather tiresome, particularly if it's within the framework of a forum post.
If we did do something like this, perhaps having some dedicated website where entries can be entered and removed, as opposed to having some grand forum post which needs to be manually edited with tons of categories and subcategories, would be more effective. Of course, this tool would require skills that not many members have, and there's no guarantee it'd work out.
EDIT: Having a Wiki page might work, since you can easily separate sections, though it'll still be a bit fiddly with editing scores and the like. Still, it's a vastly superior solution over having to edit one big forum post.

Good idea, I'm happy to have the information from Rayrobi's post transferred to a wiki page so that people can freely edit it. And the original topic can always be used for discussing said scores.

I'll start now on creating a page with the current records that are listed on the topic.
As you can tell, the Origins section is not 100% complete. As stated in the article summary, it will be completed later today when I wake up. Once done, that should be it for the article, and this edit will be posted over at the original records topic.

How about we instead create a new topic, since the holder of the previous one isn't active any more? That way we can keep the front page of the new topic up to date and link it to the RayWiki article.
Also, I made some changes to the wiki article which I hope are fine. I found the long list of text to be rather hard to read, so I thought a table would be better. I also split the times up between versions since they make a big difference. Though I tried grouping the versions as much as possible to have as many as possible on the same leaderboard (since there are actually minor differences even between original versions, like N64 and PC for R2). It would also be nice if we could have a link on each of the times, linking to a proof image. Perhaps they can be uploaded to the wiki to ensure they don't get taken down?
Also, as for proof I think a screenshot should always be enough. Not everyone is capable of recording a video and I only think it should be necessary if the time is way to good. That way I believe more people will be able to participate.
Edit: I forgot to mention, but I removed the bronze, silver, gold times from the wiki since they're kind of useless there. I hope this was fine, otherwise we can put them back. I just found it easier seeing the records when there were only real players on the list.
As for Rayman M/Arena/Rush it's going to be quite hard splitting it up. As far as I know, this is how the versions are grouped:
PC (M), PS2 (M/Arena) - Original versions
PC (Arena) - Less obstacles in races
PS1 - Totally different engine, levels, level design etc.
GC, Xbox - Different engine, speed, level design etc.
It feels unnecessary having four groups, so we could group PC (Arena) with the originals, even though that version is slightly easier.
