You are right, especially since the GMTI has seen so little activity in its three years of existence.

I don't get the feeling that manipulating non-Rayman images would see as much uptake as Rayman images though, even if there were a combined thread. I'd like to hear from other members though, since I could be wrong.

Anyway, we need an image for round 100, and we should probably stick with a Rayman one for now. Maybe 101 will be different, if I hear enough enthusiasm from members about the alternation…

I voted and it seems that I'm in the minority. Maybe another thing that can be done is give people an extra week to make something (so it has the same length than SOTM), however I don't know if that would be much of a help.

The vote runs until the 13th of September, so people have plenty of time to make a decision.

When I said "give people an extra week" I was referring to the length of each MTI, which is 3 weeks (including the voting period), unlike SOTM that is 3 weeks + the voting period.

Another option is to vote by PM, like we did for the best and worst members topic. This way the votes are not public, but still controlled by whoever is in charge of the topic.

It was on the French side. There used to be PM votes for the "Best and Worst Member of the Week", and the winner would get 100 Tings and the loser would lose 100 Tings. Now the French side is so inactive that there's no point anymore.

And at the very beginning, there were even special ranks for the winner... and the loser.

Funnily enough, I was actually thinking the opposite. I think the submission period might be too long, leading people to procrastinate and ultimately forget about the contest until it's too late. I'd like others' opinions on that too though!

I can tell you that I left COTM until the last minute myself, sometimes people have a habit of leaving things until the last minute.

Hmm, the poll's a bit closer now. Still a slim majority in favour of staying Rayman-only, but less clear-cut than it was last week…

If we had two MTI per month, in my case I would probably skip one of them or make very simple edits. Also, here is my entry:

We could always keep both separate but have them every two months only.

I only ever spent a maximum of like 1-2 hours on any image I've ever worked on, and they were always done in one sitting. Even a week would be way more than enough time for people to make an image, and they have plenty of time to vote too.

Speaking of which, today is the deadline.

This is definitely way too late to be a valid entry, but I saw the image and I couldn't resist at least seeing this come to life.
