Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Here are my thoughts on Splatoon's online currently.
I emphasize currently because the game is still in it's baby stages, and Nintendo will keep adding more and more maps slowly.
But as of right now... at least to the American audience. Don't pay full price for this... yet. Definitely consider the game in the coming months but currently? I'm very disappointed with the option of only having TWO fucking maps for Turf war. I've yet to unlock ranked battle but that really sucks. I've already grown very tired of these maps very quickly. Nintendo at the very least could've made 3-4 maps available. Two turf war maps is just too low. Now I'm aware ranked battle has a lot more maps, but in order to unlock this you need to play around with these two maps in turf war quite a bit. Those looking to buy for the single player, I can't quite say, I haven't played much of it yet. But I ended up putting down Splatoon faster than I anticipated, and I didn't want to. The game was so much fun but I was getting very tired of the constant maps. Luckily once I reach level 10 and am able to compete in ranked battles this will change. But it's just a sad feeling.
Wait until there are a handful of maps and content available to warrant a purchase. Otherwise I AM happy with the purchase, I just don't think now is the right time for a purchase until they add in all the features they promised and maps.

Got these awesome stuff today and it is official. I am now Amiibo collector. Hopefully I will own them all one day.
(Thanks again Haruka
)

Next two I will own: Kirby and Pac-Man.

Very soon.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I don't think there's any doubting anymore, I'm getting Splatoon for my summer gaming.
you guys see the mario sunshine DLC "leak"? I kinda doubt it tbh, but it'd be an awesome addition if its real.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Yeah, Splatoon's great. It may be limited as of now, but each match always feels refreshing and new to me. It does a nice job making me come back for more.
The Mario DLC in question seems iffy. It's a nice idea, but I think it's fake.
And if we're showing off Nintendo loot, I think I got the jackpot here. The first pics are recent. I got all these in a timeframe of two weeks. And the last pic is all of the amiibo I've collected so far. Currently wanting Villager and Wii Fit Trainer from Wave 1 and I need Captain Falcon & Pit to complete Wave 2.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
There are amiibos there that I do not believe they arrived to my country. I simply couldn't find Pac-Man, Charizard and Jigglypuff.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Really? From what I've read, Wave 4 came out in the US last. Everywhere else got it before we did. Currently Pac-Man is common here in North America and you can find the Splatoon amiibo easily. I want Wario as well from the Wave 4 line, with Charizard and Greninja and Ness. I'm thinking of importing Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, Captain Falcon, and Pit. But it'll have to wait until later, I wanna see if Nintendo will address the reprinting of them at E3 (emphasize "if"). Though, if they don't I will import them (which kind of saddens me because the Japanese boxes aren't that well designed as the North America/European/Australian packaging).
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Aren't Japanese boxes same as others except for logo?
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
That and the back of the packaging is really different. Japanese Amiibo have one circular image in the middle with all the info around it. It won't stop me from importing, but the packaging just kinda irks me a tab bit.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
I don't really care much for packaging since it is not type of box I save and keep anyways
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
That's why I said it irks me, not so bothersome that it will stop me from importing. I keep the packaging myself because I like it.
I tried Ranked Battles in Splatoon and holy hell, it's so much fun and way better than Turf War.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
You just unlocked it? I fully agree, it's way more competitive too. I've seen people go down from B's to C's. It can prove frustrating, but I like having to work hard to get a good rank. So I enjoy ranking battles way more as well.Bradandez wrote:I tried Ranked Battles in Splatoon and holy hell, it's so much fun and way better than Turf War.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
No, I unlocked it sometime ago but couldn't play it because of work. I wanted to have a session where I can enjoy it and play without the constant reminder of work is in a few hours. You know the jest of it.
Splat Zone is a more enjoyable gamemode and you don't have to worry about covering the whole turf. The matches are quicker and overall a better experience for me.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
You have only once to guess who bought all this (hint: not me):

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Oh, that was me. I bought them all because I'm heavily attracted to Jigglypuff.
Re: Official Nintendo Topic
The small Rayman plush scammer, right? I hope he eats them when there's nothing else to buy food.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
So Hyrule Warriors is being released on 3DS.
Very odd decision in my opinion. I'm not interested since I own the game on Wii U but Im curious how it will run on 3ds in comparison.

Re: Official Nintendo Topic
Aw hell yeah! Hyrule Warriors has been one of the many games I've been wanting to get and now it's coming to the 3DS, cool!
Also heads up, Splatoon is releasing yet another new map today at 7 PT. It's called Kelp Dome.
And has anyone seen the trailer for Splat Fest? It's pretty sweet.
