I only really accept the existence of the first Rabbids game. That's all it should have been at this point. Sequels are welcome, but only if they can refrain from sucking.

They came around being more creepy than cute.

Maybe if RRR2 had more creative ideas and a Rayman without a personality that became a clusterfuck, it could have been fair.

Hm, I just found the second game to be boring, and it severely lacked substance in comparison to the first.

Its funny, I like the second game more than the first.

Well last night I went home and got a perfect on 13 of the 15 dance games. I didn't know I had it in me. I ordered a turbo controller for the Xbox and hopefully that will alleviate the challenge of any of the dumb games that require me to mash triggers left and right or press A to infinite.

I think I'm going to try to unlock the third to last bonus and move on. This game is very cruel.

One thing that strikes me so odd about the game is once you know what the original Rabbids game was supposed to be, it's so weird that so many leftover characters and backgrounds that don't really fit a bright minigame collection make it into the game. I like a lot of the character designs, especially the Rabbid spider bots and those weird snout monsters. Serguei is such a great character, it's a shame he never comes back.

I just feel really sad now that the Rabbids game ended up this way. Why didn't Ubisoft just do a regular version and a minigame version? I see the value in the minigame Rabbids stuff, but it's at the expense of another game.

Why? Because that's the UbiSoft way to do things. Zombi U has almost the same development history RRR does.

I would prefer a real Rayman 4 without the Rabbids, or else people out of the fanbase will think its another minigame compilation.

What? D: let's face it, Origins and Legends are canon. If not, then Rayman 1 doesn't count either.

What the actual fuck. More like Red Steel in my opinion.

There will never be a Rayman 4. You can't pick up a series after so many years and hope to make success of the younger audience and Origins/Legends fanbase too. Most videos of people playing RO state that they were never interested in Rayman before or think he was around since Raving Rabbids. I think making a 3D game would not be as simple for Ubi as it might seem. Do consider that if the next 3D Rayman would be similar to R2/R3 it would only bring up confusion. This sadly is because they've replaced the serious things with a series that's just silly. Imagine of the the robo pirates were in Rayman Legends. They would have derp faces and make strange noises. If there is to be a 3D Rayman in the future, I would expect it to be very unlike what it used to be.

New character design = Limitations on older content and freedom on new ideas. I love the new Rayman and everything about it, but I have little hope on ever seeing another Rayman 2 appear. I miss the quiet moments which leave you to exploring the environment, like the Woods of Light.

I still disagree. Rayman Origins was decent enough to be called a sequel. It isn't amazing or epic, but neither Rayman 3 was. Rayman 7.

Wouldn't it be 6? R1, R2, R3, RO, RL, then this?

ZombiU looks interesting enough but I would have been more interested if it was still Killer Freaks from Outer Space and had mutant Rabbids in it.

'Cause fukkin...

@Sergio You aren't understanding what I mean. Of course Origins and Legends are canons, but I was meaning "Rayman 4" in terms of a new canon 3D game.

Looks like that was inspired by the Rayman 4 they had in mind in the beginning of 2006.

Oh wow, I had no idea that it was actually going to include Rabbids at first. o_o

The evolution a game will have during development is quite intriguing...
But, unfortunately, the finished product can't always be what it was originally meant to be.
In some cases, like here, that can be a good thing.

Well, original sounded like a blast to play (space camp themed shooter!). For whatever reason (reinforcing GamePad, I guess) they have switched to zombies though. Seriously, there IS similarity between RRR and this. Although there are obvious differences - Ancel leaving RRR team, for example, doesn't seem to have a parallel.

The concept art actually looks quite interesting, but knowing the Rabbids series it is probably better they changed it.
