Re: Rayman 3
The image is obviously from "current" version and is included for illustrative purposes.
And you scared me for a moment as I seen it as PSN exclusive just after starting to get stuff for 360. XBLA too? Good. Though Steam would be way better. I will however wait with judgement to appearance of screenshots; however I don't think Ubi will screw this one.

It's about time they showed some love for their Nintendo fans...

I don't care if it's HD, but they should make a Rayman 3 Wii remake.RayTunes wrote:The usual.Greenbottle3 wrote:Of course.Game Informer wrote:Ubisoft announced today that Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc is coming to Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network next year.

Re: Rayman 3
If I recall, isn't the Wii backwards compatible with the GameCube, which Rayman 3 was released on?
I do not see much use re-releasing it on Wii anyway, I don't think motion controls work with Rayman, there would be little Graphical improvement, and there are no achievement systems! (I do own a Wii and think it is brilliant, but what I am saying is that I think there is not much use for a Wii Re-release of Rayman 3)

Re: Rayman 3
Wii remake is really not a good idea. It would take more than 40 MBs so it would have to be a disc release, and Wii's tech isn't that much different from GameCube. This would need to be an actual new game (i.e. with loads of new levels or local multiplayer) to be interesting.

You can connect a PS2 controller to a PS3.
This deserves triple boon:

Yes, but It isn't much different. You still use the same controllers.Master4lyf1 wrote:If I recall, isn't the Wii backwards compatible with the GameCube, which Rayman 3 was released on?

Re: Rayman 3
No, you cannot, the PS3 only has USB ports for controllers, besides, the layout is similar anyway. I know 100% that GameCube SOFTWARE ie. disk, is compatible with Wii.RayTunes wrote:You can connect a PS2 controller to a PS3.
I'll give you that.RayTunes wrote:They could make in game achievements.
Indeed there is, but we have no clue as to what it will be like, would Rayman 3 work with a massive tablet-esque controller? And we don't even know how content will be delivered!RayTunes wrote:And isn't there a Wii U coming next year?
Perhaps the console may be given more consideration, since it's probably likely the game will come out next year, but in the meantime it seems Ubi's taking what it's got.
Re: Rayman 3
That's odd. My brother claims you can.
I'm pretty sure R3 could get on the wii U if super Mario Sunshine will be released for it.

Re: Rayman 3
I hope so too, given it's current specs do outclass the current "HD" consoles.
I wonder if Rayman will get into Smash Bros Wii U, it would be extremely nice.
Fun Fact: Try saying Wii U fast, it sounds like what kids do when imitating sirens.

Wow, very nice!
Now they are giving me reasons to later invest in a PSN pre-paid card. Will this mean that the Hall of Fame of our community with get more members?
I'll be looking forward to the improvements of this HD version.

They sell this little thing called "converter" you know. RT 1:0 MLMaster4lyf1 wrote:No, you cannot, the PS3 only has USB ports for controllers.RayTunes wrote:You can connect a PS2 controller to a PS3.
EDIT:
Pretty other way actually. They are going to implement "normal" online leaderboards, so they'll probably ditch the old fashioned ones. Will this mean that the Hall of Fame of our community with get more members?

Re: Rayman 3
Fair do, but the console does not support it on the fly, that was beside the point anyway, we were arguing on whether or not Wii should have a Rayman 3 remake.stan423321 wrote:They sell this little thing called "converter" you know. Re: Rayman 3
You know I'm sure Ubisoft would be more than happy to port games like Rayman 3 to Wiiware had Nintendo put a hard drive in their console of some sort and had a higher file size limit for games on Wiiware. Nintendo have been really behind when it comes to downloadable games and it shows when you check the Shop channel and see there's been about 3 new (really crappy) games put up on there in the last several months. Hopefully they will be far more competent with the Wii U: at least a 100GB harddrive installed, background downloading like the 360/PS3 and bigger limit for downloadable games.
Re: Rayman 3
I never bought anything in the WiiWare, but the games for it do not convince me either. This reminds me that I wouldn't mind either a Rayman Revolution remake in HD, as long they fixed too the framerate, better audio quality and fixing some glitches. Trophies would be welcomed aswell.
Re: Rayman 3
It would also be nice if we didn't have to give up our credit cards to afford a game console. The price for a PS3 when it was released is outrages.Gagaman wrote:You know I'm sure Ubisoft would be more than happy to port games like Rayman 3 to Wiiware had Nintendo put a hard drive in their console of some sort and had a higher file size limit for games on Wiiware.
