I'd pay for Ryu. It amazes me there putting him in there despite the massive absence of Street Fighter games on Nintendo consoles.
Street Fighter V coming next year isn't coming to Wii U.

And then people say Rayman shouldn't be in Smash because Ubisoft doesn't support the Wii U. Fucking hypocrites.

Rayman has appeared way more on Nintendo consoles in comparison, especially with Legends initially being wii U exclusive, and having Wii U only features. The last game Street Fighter got on a Nintendo console was a port of Super Street Fighter IV on 3DS. I guess in a way they could promote that, but I don't think anyone really cares too much for a 3DS port of a game that's way better on PS3,360, and PC.
(Maybe that Nintendo vs Capcom fighting game rumor is true, holy shit please make this true)

Sorry for double post, but there was a Smash direct today and a lot of new stuff announced:
New costumes:
Isabelle
Megaman.exe
Heihachi from Tekken
And Virtua Fighter costumes
Ken trophy
New playable characters: Ryu, Roy, and Lucas out NOW!
Ryu plays based off his Street Fighter II moveset. You can perform a hadouken by dragging the stick downwards to right and hitting A.
Low, Medium, and heavy punches are in Smash for Ryu. By pressing A and holding it, you'll do a high punch, hold it down quickly, you'll do a low punch.

I've started training with Ryu and he's already quite deadly. Though I need to practice more. I had an awesome match online previously where I two stocked another Ryu player. It was great. I'll try uploading the match to youtube maybe later.
Anyways Nintendo did a pre-e3 conference for those who missed. Nothing really special was announced, Blast Ball.
But one big thing stood out:
Mother 1 is coming to the states as Earthbound Beginnings.
I've never actually played Mother 1, only Mother 2 (Earthbound), and Mother 3. So I'm super stoked for this!

Luckily they already translated the NES version.
Have any of you ever heard of the Earth bound (yes it's spelled like that) prototypes?

Yes. Those who found prototypes placed it in Bootleg cartridges. If I want to play it on a normal NES, I could buy that as well.

I'm pretty chuffed to hear about Earthbound Zero actually having a proper western release. I've tried playing the prototype rom some time back and I still haven't made it past the 3rd melody. If ninty keeps this ball rolling with things up my street I could eventually be sold on a WiiU.

Some really dark and unexpected news here, but Satoru Iwata passed away due to a bile duct growth. By far one of the most iconic and important figures in gaming for me, and just, wow, really came out of nowhere.

He will be missed a lot. Thank you for all the interesting Directs and news you brought to us and for running Nintendo for all these years. Rest in peace.

Me and my friends were sketching when by around 2 A.M. the news come out from nowhere. It was so unexpected that I really did not know what to say.
I think it is disrespectful to be honest. Amiibos are for profit and Nintendo should not profit off Iwata's death. Can't believe so many people signed it.

I think this is a perfect tribute to Iwata actually, I signed it

I am very positive that this is not what Iwata would have wanted.
Think about this. Amiibos were created to make SSB4 more fun and also to without doubt to bring some profit to company and that cannot be denied. Making Iwata amiibo now that he passed away would mean that they are using his death and sadness of gamers to earn money since they know it would sell good since many people would buy it. Do you think that Iwata amiibo would sell same if they made one when he was alive? I don't know but to me it just doesn't feel right for Nintendo to pay a tribute to him by releasing something related to him that is sold for cash.
