God, I just wanna say that Rayman Arena run so well and looks so good on xbox360 that it's even strange. Are there any differences between Gamecube and Xbox version except the obvious like saving sign?

I don't think I can even get Rayman Arena to play in my Xbox 360. Since it's an NTSC game, I doubt it would work on my PAL console. :(

I can still use my modded original Xbox to play it I guess, but I know that the Xbox would definitely run it much better than the PS2, same for a lot of games. As for Gamecube, I never have tried that version, so I can't comment on that.

Recently the textures for Rayman M/Arena were extracted and a lot of unused stuff was found. I made an article here on the wiki for it: https://raymanpc.com/wiki/en/Rayman_M_( ... roduction)

That is really cool!

Is there maybe a way to place the character costume textures on a model?

Probably, yeah. I'll see if I can do it with cheat engine. Otherwise the textures.cnt file needs to be modified.

Edit: Doesn't seem like it'll work with Cheat Engine so easily. So the textures file would need to be modified with the textures switching place or something similar.

Great article!

I know some of those concept arts have been floating around for a decade, but I still have to wonder what idiot pasted Rayman's standing pose in on half of them, despite the fact that the lighting is wrong, and one is underwater!

I'm guessing it's just concepts for stages and that they were never actually made. There were recently some even worse photoshopped artwork found in R3 HD for some early designs I'll upload soon.

I should also say that I find the one where he's surrounded by Umbers quite unsettling for some reason.

That's really cool. I guess that in other revisions lies some interesting stuff too. Thanks for showing it.

Wow… I would hope that they were placeholders for the "wanted" signs and/or targets…

So wait they use Jeff Goldblum's head as a placeholder? Talk about literally being in videogames other than that Goosebumps one.

In all seriousness, Comic Sans and all, this is a fantastic find! There are a couple of those concept screens that I remember seeing in magazines like the one with Carmen in the tank.

Sorry if this question has been answered before but, could someone please explain me why there is a trailer for the Yamakasi film contained in one of the Rayman M CDs for PC?

I dont know if someone already posted this here but looks like the intro theme to Rayman Arena (Gamecube ver) is partially based on Surfin Bird.

There is definitely some resemblance between them, however I wonder is this was intentional or a coincidence.

It's me or in the French version of Wikipedia claims that a Nintendo 64 port and a Dreamcast port is planned to release for Rayman M in their development days?

I was reading the Rayman M article in the French version of Wikipedia when I found it under the section "Divers": https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rayman_M

That's what it says. Apparently this "information" was inserted anonymously on 30 May 2010 and the whole section has been essentially marked citation needed since November 2011. Seems like long enough to call it BS…
