You are both right. Some members from the old RZ joined PC when RZ was first hacked, many of them stayed because they understood PC was reliable, others chose the new RZ, but the same story will happen when it also dies.
This is the endless circle of the lure of the weak.

Hoodcom wrote:Ahem, you have forgoten Xeiqu. The PC hater. Which THIS proves our point about him hating PC.
No, it proves the point that you have a severe reading disability.

I. Don't. Hate. PC.

PC's becoming quite active again, and Hunch often gets the news before us; PC's good. I'm also very appreciative of the fact that there is more than one Rayman board on the internet; people need the opportunity to choose. However, there is still the fact that some members (and by some, I mean you) are mentally dysfunctional.

About whoever said that we are trying to 'cover up' that ARZO have rejoined: don't be so dense. I posted it quite clearly in a few topics, and nobody cared. Would you like to know why? It's because nobody believes that ARZO can do anything.

This sort of shows what those guys are like. You expect us to all be running around, yelling 'Oh noes, ph33r teh powahz!!!!1' just because you posted a couple of empty threats on PC. Get over it, this was all years ago, back in the day when RaymanZone was so large that there was loads of rivalry on the boards. It's completely different now; different people run it, and different people post in it. You might as well hack mario.com. Mind you, you already know that; I suppose you have to make up some kind of justification for what is essentially relieving yourselves of your boredom.

About PC cencorship on RaymanZone: there isn't any. However, advertising is spam. If I were to make a topic only to advertise RaymanZone over here, would it be locked? Your answer will be the same for the reverse question. It's kind of silly, saying things such as 'if you post a single thing about PC on RZ, you will be mutilated by Xeiqu', because that's never happened. I seem to have a reputation over here for being really harsh, but I can only guess that's because you guys, supposedly, hardly ever go to RZ.

Matyuv: Love you too, hunnybuns. Just remember that your current, blatant personality flaw is that you are actually quite cool until you are found talking in public view, at which point you seem to feel obliged to act like an immature moron. Please try and do something about that, your newb-mocking comments are completely humourless now, as you've made them thousands of times now.

About Hunch's reference to what happened to the old RaymanZone: No, I don't actually think that'll happen... there's a few reasons. The first is that we're now completely linked to every other Ubisoft forum: one of the reasons that the phpBB RZ was abandoned by Thunak was that it was a side-website of Ubisoft, and, essentially and sadly, easily forgettable.

Another is that if Rayman 4 is a big success (which I believe that it may well be), there won't actually be any periods in which Ubisoft is either anticipating a release, or managing one. Rayman 4 hasn't actually been in development for more than a year yet, and they've done the bulk of it already.

Finally is the fact that Ubisoft do seem to be commiting quite a few more personell to managing the forums. You say that we're only having such great contact at the moment because it's all part of Ubisoft's big marketing plan. But... it isn't. The game's more than six months away, and Ubisoft are yet to make their major unvieling. The admins really go out of their way to help us, nowadays.

Phew, that was a long post... I suppose I'm just relieved to finally have some spare time, after the last month or so. o_O'

If RZ dies just before or after Rayman 4 releases, that make those loss hope over a so called "new" RZ foruma and site. I've heard somewhere, from someone that they think that RZ would have a new site and forum for Rayman 4. If RZ is to be hacked or was to be left with out care anymore and left to die, those people would be angry or very sad. Which again if something happens to RZ, hacked or not, it still proves the point on Pirate-Community being the best Unofficial rayman community. Yeah, it may have French and English forums right now, and may have just a french website, but PC is still beating the compentition here. PC may not be perfect but the staff here tries their best to keep things going and going right. I know Hunchman wants to get the PC french website translated into English, and I understand that will take time. Also proves the point again on the fact Hunchman is a realiable Admin, unlike any admins at RZ. Hunchman may not can get the job done instantly, but he takes his time and gets things done like a good administrator would actually do. All the admins at RZ are just... lazy or just don't give a crap. Only admin there I really have known of was Ubi Razz, which I've heard a lot about him. Only hard working staff then was the moderators such as Jona, Block, PhoenixG, and Lockewong... which they are the ones I remember, if there is any mod there I left out then you may say so to me. As I rember Jona saying here a long time ago, his and the other moderators hard work was worthless now because of the first hack. What I like to know from ARZO is an answer from this simple question. WHAT good does it do to hack Rayman Zone when you make things WORSE and ruin the fun of inocent members???

I had left RaymanZone ages ago when it was hacked by ARZO, but I am still angry on Ubi. It is because of the bad way Ubi managed RZ that ARZO was created, even if some of them could have been banned with good reasons. It is because of the bad way Ubi protected RZ that it was hacked by ARZO. It is because of the bad way Ubi considered gamers that a new low-featured board was created to replace the old one.
And even if I thought Hunchman was too strict at RZ as a moderator, even if I had had little arguments with him, as he said, it is because of the bad way UbiSoft will take care of the new board that it will follow the same fate as the former one.
I do not care wherever its members go, but they should all leave. They could create new boards, join existing boards, who cares? They should leave when it is time.

I wonder if only a few of you remember me, since I only remember Block and Hunchman, I used to be well-known but I am afraid I am not even the shadow of a ghost now. Those who knew me can trust me.

Hoodcom, don't even try. Based on the replies and messages I've seen from ARZO members/supporters, they can't be persuaded with mere words.

To anyone who thinks the RZ mods are or have ever been "tyranical", I devote your attention to a certain man named Josef Stalin. He was a tyrant. Can you even compare ANY RZ members to him? No. You're exagerrating things and only making yourselves sound like uneducated duncebags.

Either find a better adjective that realisticly describes them, or just shut up.

I see your point with that, ARZO probably wouldn't answer... nor would reasoning ever work, but I just don't know what would work with them to be honest... I bet none of us do.

I actually liked the RZ mods I knew of. You, Jona, Lockewong, and PhoenixG. To me you guys have been doing a fine job.

Yeah Roman has a point on that, they should leave.

And Xeiqu, then who edited Hunchman's signature?

If someone posted a topic advertising RaymanZone, as a registered member here, no one here would delete it or lock it, trust me. There is no place for competition in Pirate-Community's spirit. Of course, I was kind of joking about you slaughtering people talking about Pirate-Community at RZ, but I know you do not appreciate it that much.

Believe it or not, this is marketing. I have been disenchanted for years.

You should not confuse websites that belong to Pirate-Community, called PC Websites, and the Pirate-Community website, its portal, which is also in English ;)

If I thought you would come... I still remember you, of course... and I remember you left RZ quite early too... Disenchanted before anyone else, right?

Since we have no way to stop them, talking to them is the only thing we can do... even if I can only agree with you about this :|

I'm the last person you'll see getting caught up in marketing. Look, Ubisoft aren't going to employ somebody to keep a forum happy for profit, if that forum only has about 20 really active members. That just makes no sense, if you think about the money that goes in, compared to the money that'll come out.

It only really makes sense when the public begin joining the forums and posting queries, which is yet to happen, and probably won't for another 3 months or so.

And I doubt that if I had made a topic callled 'Join RaymanZone' with a link inside, it would've stayed open for very long. :|

When you get down to the end, the only good Rayman forum is the one ran by a fan, not by the company.

Hunchman must be very glad I said this :D

Not really. Why should it be?

You don't get any Ubisoft propaganda or anything, so to speak, and then there's the added benefits of being in quite good contact with the publisher of the series...

In my opinion, the only thing that makes a forum what it is, is the members that reside there. It doesn't matter who owns it: the thing that makes a forum is its community, and nothing more.

If you remember RZ before R3 came out, it seemed very much like it is now. Lots of info and people getting along with competent mods.

That changed not long after R3 came out. The mods left, people spammed and fought, and it basically collapsed (to the point of October 11th).

When it happens, be glad we have stable communities like this one and any other successfully run fan forum.
