Shamefully I use an iphone 4, I think up until the iphone 5 they were nifty phones, but as of lately you can't deny they're pumping out half assed garbage like crazy, definetly going for a better phone few years from now, any recommendations for someone who occasionally likes to game on his phone?

I use iPhone 4 too but I have 0 intrest in any other Apple product.

I use an iPhone 5s.

Sooooooooooooooooooooo, have you guys heard about the shellshock vulnerability in Linux servers? I was stunned when I saw this.
My own server is fine though, seems the version of bash I'm running is too old to be affected.

I've heard about it, apparently it affects unix-based systems, including Mac OS X. Though the technicals aren't anything I'm capable of comprehending.

It's any system that uses bash, so FreeBSD, which uses ksh AFAIK, should be fine. As I say, there are only a few versions it affects, my server for example does not run one of those versions.

Still, how they made such a blunder is beyond me!

However, blind and irrational hatred is usually just as bad or worse, and I think a lot of people in this thread (namely Rayfist, beebo, and OCG) have been basically using this design flaw as an excuse to fuel their pre-determined and arguably illogical hatred of Apple. It's totally fine to have opinions, but holding them as objective fact, especially to the point where you're going so far as to make insane accusations of Apple trying to make money of the "ignorant" (which, in reality, amounts to "non-gamers"), is not a good way of thinking at all. I completely understand this mindset, don't get me wrong, as it's basically the one I held on the Mac vs. PC debate all throughout middle school, but it's not a very logical one, and it's one that basically fits the mold of the term "hater." Aside from that, different products suit different people, and heavily criticizing those that are in no way targeted toward you doesn't make a lot of sense (unless of course it's an objective design flaw like the bendy phone).

Though I guess you totally missed the point where I said I thought the Iphone 4 was a nifty device. When a company does something fucking stupid, whether it be Microsoft or Apple, Ill call them out for there stupid shit. I do mostly dislike Apple, not really hate, I only said "hate" before to get my point across to those who didn't know I was being sarcastic. And as of lately, Apple has been incredibly fucking stupid pumping out quantity over quality.

What Rayfist just said pretty much sums up my thoughts on the subject. I did specifically point out that recent events and the iPhone 6 in particular have been key factors in my growing dislike of Apple. Just as Rayfist said, I don't hate them. I hate what they're doing. Although I do have to disagree with Rayfist, Apple has been pretty smart with their products and marketing. I mean look at the iPhone 6 and how quickly it's selling even with the major flaws previously stated. Apple knows that their name alone sells and until that stops they'll keep pumping out product after product. And when I talked about the "ignorant" I meant those who blindly followed Apple's every move and bought all their new phones on release without a second thought.

Um.. what the fuck are you disagreeing with? While I do hate them as of recent I never said anything about how they product and market devices.
