Which reminds me: I managed to miss two. Back to Joe's!

Ugh. Ugh. UUUGHHH.

I gave a couple Saturn emulators a shot again - Yabause, which appears to be active, and SSF again. It's all still hopeless for this version, since Yabause seems to be incompatible with it as well, in fact it's not even listed on compatibility lists. :/

Giving up for ANOTHER time.

Ubisoft, please re-release the Saturn version of R1!

I mentioned on the IRC that I had successfully emulated Rayman 1 using Satourne, in case that helps anybody.

Funny, I actually saw an actual copy of Saturn version of Rayman recently. I would have got it if it weren't for the one fact I didn't have a Saturn

That's not to say they didn't have a Saturn in the very same shop, but the whole shop was a rip-off - I hate to think how they sell their consoles....

Lets just say it would be a bit of effort just for the one game

Bootsales motha, do you go to them? That's where I got mine from and not for even that much money.

Satourne definitely doesn't work for me. Even when it does load it freezes on the "Presents" screen. It doesn't help that it's a beta that hasn't been updated for 6 years, whereas the other two were last updated at the end of last year. Since they're both considered active I'll just have to wait on those two; in fact Rayman isn't the only game that has that controls issue in SSF.

Oh absolutely! Well I used to. Now no-one in this house is well enough to take me anymore, and I'm waiting for my brother to get his driving license so we an start again

Jang, this isn't the place. Please use a translator so you can actually understand both us and yourself.

Would be nice if they released Rayman 1 in HD or just new graphics after the Rayman 3 port. I don't see it very likely though.

Ahhh that would be lovely!

I'd just really like to see the Rayman 1 style return, anyway.

I'm not sure how they could HD-a-fy it though. The art is already as detailed as it can get, I think, but maybe they could crank up the resolution and smooth out the animations.

Do you know what would be really unrealistic yet awesome? If they redid Rayman 1 in 3D (As in cgi not 2D with depth). I'd love to see al the Rayman 1 characters and levels in 3D.

I once thought so too, but I’ve since grown to dislike the idea. There’s nothing wrong with Rayman 1, and its position in the series should not be usurped. If Ubisoft develop a three-dimensional remake, it will necessarily be a totally different game, in which case their time and money would be better-spent on a brand-new three-dimensional Rayman sequel with some of the same characters and locations.

A proper 2D remake of Rayman 1 with improved graphics and audio would be great. A brand-new 3D game masquerading as the original would not.

Isn't R3HD only an HD version of R3 with same graphics,models,sound etc? Like they aften do for R2?

Rayman 3D wasn't exactly a HD version: it still had plenty problems.
