Windows 98 was very pleasant to use with keyboard only, if I recall correctly. There were a few small holes in what could be done though, and they seem to have been getting wider ever since.

I know Linux distros tend to be quite customisable, know any ones which would fit best for a keyboard user, Plum?

When I say I use mainly keyboard, I still use mouse a lot for clicking on program's and surfing the web and that, but say if I want to select some files, I'll usually use arrow keys and shift/ctrl rather than click and drag, and if I want to move windows around, I'll use home-key and arrow keys rather than drag it to the edge of the screen. Just little things that would normally be done with a mouse, but not big things like opening program's on my desktop or navigating through menus.

One of my favourite features of computer file management is that you can start typing out the name of the file and the active folder or desktop will highlight that file for you. Such a time saver!

Regrettably no, I've only ever used KDE and GNOME environments (and derivatives of the latter, like Cinnamon). They're quite mouse-driven.
LoveMetal is the person to ask about keyboard-driven environments and the like.

Xmbc, xfce and MATE are for keyboard users. If you want to use da mouse use awesomeWM, or openbox.

Isn't XBMC more for media centre PCs? Can't say I've heard of the other two.

It's been like that for ages. The last time we brought it up led to a brief discussion of the importance of closing HTML tags!

Hover your mouse over the top of the wide box containing links to "Board index", "The team", "Delete cookies" and such. You'll see that the link to the person's profile exists, but in the wrong place.

Oh yeah, how bizarre! Perhaps there's not enough space so it goes to the line below, and is obscured by elements of the board.
Someone should try fix that unless it's too hard, it may be a different problem all together.

Nah, it's nothing to do with space, just a silly PHP/HTML error that snuck in there when the layout was being modified some day! :P It looks easy to fix, but I'm not sure how readily Hunch/Romano can actually access the file and modify it.

I see. I just think knowing the newest member is quite a valuable feature, it's just nice to know, a bit like the days counter thing I said earlier. Not necessary, just a cool thing.

Hm, “our newest member” line displays properly for me, and it currently shows “OrangeFractal”:

It does on the Board Index, but not on the Portal.

Yep, I was looking at the board index. I didn't check the portal yet.

EDIT: I just checked the portal, yep, the issue is present.

I can also confirm that Vimium doesn't find the "hidden link" for some reason.

I just realised we have near to a million posts with only three thousand members, a good deal of which has never even posted here.

Apparently 1688 of our members have posted at least once. That's interesting, kind of.
