Yep, I made them more like Rayman 2. :)

@Shroob:
Are you referring to the light rays when you say negative velocity?
now i'm sad, i like the older design more, the angel-looking wings gave such an lovely and warm feeling, the eyes in this design are pretty though
The problem is that they were stupidly hard to animate and they didn't fit into the environment. That's why I made the design more Rayman 2'y.

Well the best that can be done is to Photoshop them out of this picture:

Your speed is minus one decimetres a second. Quite improbable. :P

But what do you think about my suggestions about the colours? It's not that they have to be the same colour as in R2, it's just that I feel they're just a little too flashy, a teeeensy bit too bright the way they are now. Just try to alter it, if it's easy to do, and see for yourself whether you want to change it. If it involves all kind of hard-ass modelling programming stuff, don't bother. Keep it the way it is.

Oh! Blarharhar. The negative velocity is because I have the velocity so it rounds down. So if it's at 0.000, it rounds to -1.

Hard ass coding to change a colour? Oh blarharhar, it's a simple parameter.

Aha! OK sounds a bit strange, and I guess it could complicate coding and cause bugs if it goes in the negative, no? But if that's the way you do it, and the way it works, I must be wrong.

Teehee well it could have easily been some intricate model with reference points for shine and shite. But I guess it's ok then. ;) So, show me what it looks like if you tone the green one down a little - that's the one I'm most 'bothered' by. And I use quotation marks because I'm not bothered at all by it, but because I can't find a more suitable word to describe it right now (it's been three late nights in a row that's what you get :P).

Why does every model from Rayman have those glowing spots on his hair?

Don't know if their tutorials apply to earlier versions of Max too. The basic things you should know should be the same throughout most versions, I would think.
Thanks man! Watching it right now!

EDIT: I just tried Modelling. I did the smaller-bit up the top of the body where the scarf is, but I'm tired now, going to go play ma PS3.

Look at the one you posted on this page, from the earlier models. It looks like his hair is made of gold - the sides are all shiny and reflect something outside of view. Maybe that's what he meant.

Globox points out it's sexy when you enter the Hoodlum Headquarters, can't blame me for saying that.

I don't thinks that's how you spell her name.

Rayfan, have you thought of a defeated animation yet? If not, I have an idea. Since Rayman Origins mostly revolves around bubbles...

Do you mean an animation for when Rayman dies? I plan to have it along the same lines as Rayman 2. The difference is that if something knocks you out causing you to respawn, you play a short bit of the according animation and then evapourate into energy bubbles. However if you lose alll your health you play the full extended animation.

As said elsewhere:
Well, Rayfan, it's like this is a live Twitter feed - GIMMEURPROGRESS!
Also, I like to hear of your dying animation ideas. I've always thought it was fun to see the various ways Rayman could die in R2 (/sadistical). It's one more letdown of R3 how they did it there, but no real thing to be bothered about.

EDIT:
Not to throw dust in your eyes, Rayfan, or to criticise CryEngine 3, but HOLY SMOKE:

It's amazing how far video technology is coming. Look at the guy's face! It almost exactly looks like a real face!
I'd just like to inquire what were your opinions against the UDK thing again. Or was that an earlier version? Just asking around to sniff out the market, before I really dive into things... 'ts all.
