But hoodlums are hollow and made of fabric, pirates are solid and made of metal.

Well maybe Razorbeard and Andre had trouble agreeing with the new design of the Robo-Pirates, so they modeled them after Hoodlums, but they were still robots.

Maybe Razorbeard and André should be a team. But then you beat Razorbeard and teamed up with André to save his girlfriend from a brand new enemy! You should be able to play as André at that moment! I want also see the Xowars in R4, but not the Knaarens. Or maybe if they fight against the Xowars.

They should have a few different plots that intertwine, like Sonic Adventure games. You can choose Rayman's plot, Globox's plot, Murfy's plot, Ly's plot, etc. and eventually they all come together as one massive plot. In Rayman platformers you've never really been able to play as other characters unless Rayman was riding them or something (with the exception of Hoodlum's Revenge).
