Re: Movies you just recently watched
I saw The Sting a few days ago, which was awesome. Not much more I can say about it; I absolutely loved the unconventional storyline, the writing, the characters, and pretty much everything about it. It was a bit confusing at times, though that was completely intentional, and I highly recommend it to the three people that haven't seen it.

I heard you guys were talking about a movie where a woman gives birth to a telephone? Seems pretty weird, I'm more into Spielberg movies myself.
Re: Movies you just recently watched
I watched more animation movies in the meantime:
Khumba - I think the best thing of the movie is the animation because the story itself wasn't really that good. I know I'll quickly forget about it. I remember liking better Adventures in Zambezia from the same creators.
Rio - A movie I wanted to watch since a while and it was worth the time. I am curious about the sequel but I am not sure if it is well made or not, at least in the plot. Didn't happen a controversy a while ago due to a similar plot for a canceled Pixar movie?
Ice Age: Continental Drift - Believe it or not, it is the first time I watch an Ice Age movie. I did find some character designs interesting. I should give a look to the previous movies since they are probably better in the story than this one. I think in this one there was too much slapstick humour.

Ice Age 1 is hands down best one. I did not even bother much with sequels. I believe I saw Ice Age 2 and 3 but didn't like them much.
Re: Movies you just recently watched
Some films I have watched were the recent "Planet of the Apes" movies. I really liked them! Had some really intense moments that I enjoyed.

I noticed I somewhy got Amazon Prime membership (I must have accidently agreed the free 30days trial) and oh well, I am now watching Django Unchained for free ^^
Re: Movies you just recently watched
My first Tarantino movie! I got there a little later than everyone else but I've seen them all now, between Netflix and iTunes it was super easy to watch them all.

Shamefully, I haven't seen any yet.
That's a thing I need to do, ey.
Babe is a good movie. It's a... a very good movie. *sniffle* Saint-Saëns, you play my heartstrings like the organ in your third symphony. Anyone else grew up with this film?

I don't think so no, but I did grow up with Saint-Saëns <3! And we played symphony 3 with our orchestra quite recentlyJewish Candy wrote:Shamefully, I haven't seen any yet. That's a thing I need to do, ey.

Okay, enough off-topic there
So yesterday, I managed to watch How to Train Your Dragon 2. I liked the movie, though of course it suffered from sequel decease. Milky milky like a cow. Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself 1.5 hours yesterday
Re: Movies you just recently watched
I had a bit of an aversion to live-action as a young kid, I attribute this to the poor quality of many kids live action properties, but unfortunately it meant I never wanted to watch movies like Babe, and only a few movies slipped through the cracks.

I think you, as a country fella, would identify well with the characters and setting of Babe. It's a bit of a weepie, at least to me.
@Imco, ohhhh Danse Macabre
I do love Saint-Saëns, he's just brilliant.

Are you saying that I would identify well with an anthropomorphic band of farm animals? I'm starting to think that your insults are getting intentionally more and more obscurely hurtful

That's not an insult, anthropomorphic farm animals are literally the best kind of sapient.

Re: Movies you just recently watched
@JC I watched Babe! It was my first DVD movie and it was cute to see the animals interacting with him.
EDIT: I watched How To Train Your Dragon 2. It was as excellent as its previous movie! A very strong candidate to the best feature film of animation of 2014 along with the LEGO Movie because it was beautifully animated. It had two big spoilers that caught me in surprise, a good one and a bad one:
[After a peaceful flight in the skies and being taken to a cave, suddenly: Hiccup's mother. I thought she was dead! A really good surprise, especially the fact she can get along with dragons like Hiccup does.]
[Now here's the bad spoiler. Because of the alpha dragon controlled by Drago, it possessed Toothless to kill Hiccup, and who gets hit by his fire is Stoik which ended up as a fatal decision.
Now that the family was together he had to die!]
I'll be waiting for the third movie, with hopes it will be as great as the previous two movies.
