I don't mind too much personally when it comes to family, or in a certain situation where something really big happens. Even then I can't say I've ever hugged my irl best friend once and we knew each other since we were 14 (20 years).

The friend thing though I used to get a lot of fake friends and they'd always assume things about me and turn their back on me. I have good friends now that don't do that, but it happened for quite a long time, even back when I was a teen.

Guess we both are in the same boat, kind of. I still meet fakes, but I'm really glad you have better friends. Maybe one day I can find better too. I do have a few really good friends, if that helps.

But you did not deserve those fakes. They're awful.

Also you're valid, hugs can sometimes be too much unless it's needed.

People at the new library are weird. Not the coworkers, they seem fine but the readers, like. I'm working there for 3 days and I already met with: a lady that just doesn't give a flying fuck if someone is at the counter (we have two counters, two computers so we can be logged in on each) and she'll just stand at the counter she chooses and she expects you to notice her (God forbid you ask her kindly to move, she actually yells at you that bit-), a guy who wanted to teach me how I should sign him in the notebook for people who are using computers and a lady that's from my city (she literally goes to the next one I'm working in) who comes to the library 4 minutes before we're closing because she has to print there, she cannot print anywhere else and she has to talk to you because you don't wanna go home after closing hours, no, you're there to listen to her.

This is my third library and I swear, these people are getting weirder and weirder :boon:

Well that's just lovely. Someone is spreading lies about me. My work just started again and this is what I'm putting up with. On the week of my birthday no less.

This has been a terrible week at work, very stressful. Recently new people are taking leadership positions, which means a lot of people are leaving and coming in, people are worried about conserving their jobs.

One person experienced health issues, apparently was having breathing problems and an ambulance had to take her off the building. Another person had other health issues and I saw how the people that came to help, took photos (evidence or protocol I suppose), ask him a series of questions (regarding whether or not he had consumed certain types of medication/substances) and carried him in a stretcher.

How awful. Are the health issues suspected to be related to the work?

Nothing that I can confirm, but I heard that both of them were subjected to a considerable amount of stress related to their jobs (and the current situation at the office), one of them has a leadership position, which means he has to deal with bigger problems. But I suppose they must have other long-term conditions we don't know about.

It's very ugly atm, people want to keep their jobs, protect their people, get people fired so their salary can go to others, etc.

I'll be honest. I hate being an adult. It's full of stress and so much bullshit that I thought was cool as a kid, such as growing up and finally being able to have my own home and stuff. With the way the world is now, I wish I didn't wish that on myself back then.

I should have just enjoyed being a kid, but... unfortunately my childhood wasn't that good either.

That's probably why I stupidly turn to video games like Rayman or Xenoblade Chronicles to have some form of escape from this horrible, horrible reality.

I'll probably be over this in a while, as with all of my doldrums I go through, I get over it after two hours.

I feel sick, even thought I'm on vacations, I have to supervise certain things from afar or remind my co-workers of the things they were supposed to do. For months I have been trying to contain the childish reaction of giving up and quitting my job (for a number of reasons), but I keep telling myself that is a stupid idea and that I should be thankful I have a job in the first place.

I feel bad, and I'm worried I'm going to explode one day. I wish my boss would hire another person for the team to lessen the burden, but due to complicated circumstances, I don't think that is going to happen :pascontent: :(.
