Maybe your ROM isn't decently cracked. Try to search it on SnesOrama forums, their rom works.

I just beat this for the first time over the weekend.
But in my defence, I played it for the first time in july, and then lost interest for about two months.

Well Rayman 2 was difficult in my tiny ages. Besides at least your not a ray-addict like me. I play too much Rayman...

Rayman 2 was difficult for me too, as a child. So you're not alone Rayfist.

In Rayman Revolution I found collecting the Lums in TSOSAF so annoying. There's one point where Rayman travels down a shoot on a plum and I still find it difficult to collect the Lums on the left side!

Everyone has a different skill level for things, even levels that might be it XD

I find the bit in that level with the walking shell shit hard more than anything, it's so flawed.

you do not know how many times I crashed at the part =w=So I'm with you on that too...

When I was recording it from the Japanese version my boyfriend had to like, cut out about 10 mins worth of duds; apparently the trick is to boost at that last pit but not jump otherwise you nosedive to a crash...

I learned that the hard way! Man, that just ticked me off when it blew up at the end -w-

It's interesting to hear everyone's weaknesses. Personally, I struggled with that shell part when I first played the game but nowadays I can crack it 100% of the time, maybe because I've learnt how and where to avoid the lumps and cracks.

The trick I use is on the lava gap, to boost with fire and jumping at the same time to reach close to the door. Rayman will surely land safely.
