Good. I didn't want the ''!'' sign to be gone. That thing just bursts with good memories.

I agree with you. Also, did anyone else notice that in the R1 collage from the studio (couldn't find it, so if someone could repost it...), there are little pics of some characters and things they are taking from R1 to RO? If I remember correctly, it has Betilla, Mr. Dark, the photographer, a "!" sign and a strange creature which I think is from Band Land. We currently know that Betilla, Mr. Dark and the photographer will be in the game, and we have a hint that the "!" sign will be there too, so if anyone could produce that collage, we should be able to identify that creature!

At 1:42 in this video the Teensie says "Yaaay! Cheeckpooint!!" :mryellow:
I noticed the gibberish they're saying when they see the board, but I couldn't make out "Yay! Checkpoint". Then I saw that it could be Pig Latin- Eckpointchay. For those not familiar with this "language", just read the wikipedia page.
....Sooo now the Teensies speak Latin? How great..

The ‘strange creature’ you mention is a wooden barrier which can be used to govern the player’s direction in Rayman Designer. I wouldn’t read too much into its presence; it could be that the developers are simply using these images for inspiration rather than directly integrating what they depict into the game.

Pig Latin is not Latin.

Thanks, man, I've been looking all over for that. I was pretty upidstay thinking it was a creature... btw, did someone post the collages for R2 and R3? Because if not, I would seriously LOVE to get them!

I meant to take screenshots of them like I did with this one, but the digital sample issue of GameInformer got taken town before I got round to it. So unless someone is willing to subscribe to the magazine and get access to those images, they’re lost.

Well, I found this-
Image

It's very small, so it doesn't really help. If I can get my hands on that freakin' issue, I'll immediately post scans of the Rayman article (the collages are there, right...?)

No, you can’t. The only one that comes up when I search for ‘rayman origins collage’ is the one that I actually went to the trouble of saving. The others are lost for the foreseeable future. This is a pretty big fail on the part of all of us.

I don’t think the magazine includes any close-up high-resolution reproductions of the collages. They were in a separate thing that you had to click on in the digital edition, along with the pages and pages of concept art. I mentioned that we should probably take screenshots of all of them since I was too lazy to do more than a few myself, and rayguy did this, but neglected the collages for some reason. Besides, even if they were included in the print edition, scans probably wouldn’t be as good as taking the images directly from an official channel such as the digital edition.

I wanted to buy this issue in the digital edition but apparently you have to be in the US... Also, I'm pretty sure I saw the middle page from R2 and the page to the right of it.

I took normal printscreens to the pictures of the digital version of that GameInformer issue, if anybody wants...

Please remind me: did anyone scanned the entire article/printscreened it?

Of course! It's a prequel in which he appears as a villain, and the next game in the timeline is R1 where he is the main villain. He returns.

I would like the pictures! I searched a lot of time and couldn't find any scans, at least not of the RO article (friggin' assassins creed... all over the issue.. RO ignored.. *grumble*)
