As far as I know, there are three. In R1, they have pink egg-shaped rings, eyes and long yellow wings. In R2, they are round, bright purple, have eyes and their wings are small and white. In R3, presumably due to laser washing powder, they are square metal hooks that must be grabbed with the Lockjaw, have eyes and float by means of a helicopter.

Those descriptions are ok and they belong to the answer, but you missed just one type! (Big clue)

Also in Rayman 1 there are those ones that have a black eye and (to me) look like they're drunk.

Do I gt it? Huh? Also there are those giant ones in Droolie's game, Eclipse.
