They are going to have a harder time though. Eve is very secure and I'm sure Ubisoft would take more action this time around. I highly doubt it will work this time...

The New Eve RZ has absoluetely nothing to do with the old phBB RZ. Especially the fact that all the admins and a lot of the members from those boards have left. So there's nothing to have revenge on. Whatever you'd be doing would be without reason and seen as a random forum bashing.

A couple things I'd like to clear up...

1) A couple pages back, 'pok2' shared some words about the whole situation along with a word about taking away any bitterness between the two communities. That was actually me. Guilty as charged. ^^

2) I know you guys may have some beef against some of the users and mods at the current RZ, and if it's anything personal, then I won't get into it. But honestly, especially guys like Xei and Pok, they're great guys. They're fun to be around, they add to the community, and they've got respect for this community - whether you guys realize it or not. One reason they might seem so bitter over here is because they're just on the defensive - the same you guys would be at RZ, I'm sure.

3) The reason we don't announce ARZO over at RZ is because, in all honesty, they're not a threat anymore. Groupee's system (now called Eve) is so much more stable for plenty of reasons. One being, it hosts tons of gaming forums. With games come hackers. They're ready for any oncoming strike. Two being, they make 2 or more backups of the forums each day. If ARZO even managed to take down the forums (which I doubt they can, because of the strength of Eve), the Eve system would have it up in a few hours or less. And considering Ubi is full of computer experts (hello, major gaming company), they might even be able to find out who did it, despite the blocks the hackers try to make.

Besides, no one's created a virus for the Eve system. The virus that ARZO used, or at least a variation of it, was being used on phBB forums everywhere. It's going to be tough to hack the new system.

So that's why we don't announce ARZO's "return" - they don't threaten the community at all like they did the old one. No reason to get everyone upset over nothing.

Well, I agree. It is random... But I guess there is some motivation that fuels Arzo to do this.... But I have no idea.

Well, I know I have no beef with anyone at RZ, I rarely go because most people there ignore me, I assume they do. ^^ I would have been as active as here, but I guessed I was the same as Istilldunno, of course I was, but he was treated like shit.... I felt bad for him.

So how and why would they be a whole organisation against rayman zone? It seems a little far fetched if you know what I mean.

ARZO isn't a threat to me and I doubt they can do anything to the boards without it being setup in a few hours.

Xei is right, since it looks like Droolie and Pok2 were both unbanned. But it seems that ARZO are willing to take their revenge on anything called RZ, whether it is the same thing as the phpBB board or not.

A few members may often disagree with Xei, but do not think most of PC members dislike RZ moderators and RZ itself Actually, they have no reason to be on the defensive, they are welcome here even if they do not like PC ^^ They might be irritated by some members repeating they do not like the new system RZ uses, but most of them just feel disappointed, I think... I only get mad when I see people unfairly attacking PC, and this is understandable if you consider the time I have spent to improve it.

By the way, all of you are saying ARZO cannot hack the Groupee system so there is no risk, but even if the first statement was right, the reasoning is wrong and so is the conclusion. It looks like only Xei understood it...

I guess I doubted their powers a little... you'd know best. But what I was trying to say was that even if they do hack, it should be alright. After all, we've already contacted some admins about it, and they obviously think the system is strong enough because they haven't acted on anything yet.

I fully agree with you, even if they managed to hack Groupee, Ubi could restore backups and this is why people think there is no risk, but it does not make them inoffensive... I remember they had once flooded the French RZ with hundreds of posts, saying « La revanche est un plat qui se mange froid », which translates into “Revenge is a dish best served cold”...

Yes. And I'm a RZ moderator for many months now, just like Xei and Anti. Altrough I'm not as active as both of them, because my lack in time the last weeks. And it's right that we didn't banned any other 'real' RZ members than matyuv and t3h1. And I also understand what Hunchman said about ARZO and the old RaymanZone. And by the way, I personally think that ARZO is trying to hack into a mod/admin account on the Ubi forums in order to destroy RZ.
