Still need to watch Mad Max... I was worried I'd need to watch the previous films but you apparently don't need to.

As someone who watched all Mad Max movies, I can confirm that you don't need to watch first 3 to understand 4th one.

Watching R.I.P.D... it's quite funny, not too awful, would recommend if you're bored.

I checked out Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva, the movie adaptation of... well gee, Professor Layton games perhaps? It definitely remained faithful to the games and was really enjoyable to look at. I've always been a huge fan of the wonderfully quirky plots, mysteries, puzzles and ESPECIALLY the art style. Yes, it seems bizarre at first to make a movie of a puzzle game, but the puzzle elements in this movie are done quite cleverly, leaving some time for the viewer to ponder them as well. So in a way it could be considered interactive. Definitely give this a shot if you like Professor Layton even a little. While the animation isn't Ghibli levels of impressive, it's still really beautiful and the unique character designs are a big plus.

Boxtrolls boring? I loved that movie! Although I might have been slightly prejudiced as I also love the stop motion company behind it and stop motion in general...

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Stop Motion, but Boxtrolls was lacking in the story telling department. Its animation on the other hand was great.
